Finca del Sol Eco Lodge

Booked the king sized room with the mountain view and it’s been my favourite room I’ve stayed in! The A-shaped roof of the house complimented the shape of Volcan Maderas in the background. The bed comes with a mosquito net which I recommend tucking in before it gets dark and especially when it rains because of the flies that come in through the cracks of the windows. Also, turning off or using as little light as possible helps with the flies and other fly creatures as they are drawn to the light. This place is really great for all the nature and ambiance it provides. You can hear the howler monkeys, birds, and shuffle of the trees from the wind. It’s a really lovely & unique room. The place itself is also really nice, the property is pretty big with lots of greenery, flowers and fruits. There’s a bar & restaurant to the right of the property which opens late in comparison to other places nearby. I would also recommend bringing a flashlight with you as the pathway can be dark especially if you’re booking the king sized room, it’s quite a bit of a walk from the entrance. Miguel, the customer experience manager, is very knowledgeable about the area and he’s also a great tour guide. We hiked Volcan Concepcion with him and it was great. We loved our stay here, even extended for one more night and would stay again:)

Could have a mini broom and dustpan just to sweep off all the dust and insects (which have died) inside the room.

Really lovely place, super green. The casitas were all clean and exactly what we were expecting. Staff were lovely. No complaints.

The manager (Miguel) was really nice and help us to organised transport at the end for Granada. Breakfast really good. You should taste their home made bread and honey! Cats lover will be happy to meet Lilo, a nice cat.

Miguel and staff were amazing, very kind, and helpful. The hotel has an excellent location and is very spacious with large distances between buildings, which makes it feel more private than other more cramped hotels.

Price could be a tad bit lower

Miguel was very helpful and madre sure we had everything we needed! great stay at Finca del Sol. make sure you bring a headlamp/ flashlight the path leading to the room is not lit.
