Aga Reef Resort and Spa

Love the location and layout. Would have loved to have booked a room by the water but these were all full.

I noticed that there was no music at dinner which was a little strange? Made it very quiet.

Beautiful resort. Room was clean and comfortable, and fairly spacious. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great facilities and services including reasonably priced airport transfer, and shuttles to Lalomanu beach and Namua island ferry. Great for swimming in the sea, lots of fish and crabs.

Location is stunning, between ocean and mountains. Rooms are big and clean, well decorated. Staff is helpful

Die Bewertung dieses Hotels erfolgt mit gemischten Gefühlen, die Lage in der Lagune ist wirklich einzigartig, tolle Schnorchelmöglichkeiten direkt vor den Wasservillen. Die Ausstattung der Wasservillen ist gut, Kaffee, Tee und Wasser werden täglich aufgefüllt, Badetücher und Föhn muss jedoch separat an der Rezeption angefragt werden (für diesen Preis nicht angemessen). Das Essen war geschmacklich gut (besser war erwartet), die Auswahl ist jedoch sehr beschränkt, besonders für Vegetarier. Dadurch, dass es sich um ein relativ kleines Resort handelt, wäre es wahrscheinlich sinnvoller Tagesgerichte anzubieten, anstatt jeden Tag die gleiche Karte. Auch das Frühstücksangebot könnte ausgebaut werden, kann mir vorstellen, dass einige Gäste den Frühstückstisch hungrig verlassen.

Die Stimmung im Resort ist insgesamt etwas getrübt. Dem Personal fehlt es stellenweise an Herzlichkeit, und angesichts des vergleichsweise hohen Preises wäre eine intensivere Schulung wünschenswert. So wurden beispielsweise im Zimmer die Handtücher nicht ordentlich arrangiert, und auch im Restaurant kam es zu Unstimmigkeiten im Service. Insgesamt entsteht der Eindruck, dass das Hotel versucht, zusätzliches Einkommen zu generieren – allerdings auf wenig angemessene Weise. So wird etwa beim Frühstück für eine weitere Portion Butter oder Marmelade ein Aufpreis von 1 Tala verlangt. Während im Zimmer kostenlos Wasser zur Verfügung steht, ist dieses im Restaurant kostenpflichtig. Auch ein Willkommensgetränk, das in dieser Preiskategorie üblicherweise angeboten wird, fehlt. Insgesamt gewinnt man den Eindruck, dass die Besitzer nicht persönlich vor Ort sind und kein professionelles Management vorhanden ist.

Reef side location was stunningly beautiful. The room was nice with an indoor and outdoor seating area which was a bonus.

Hubby intolerant of onion. Asked for no onion with burger but the meat patty was full of it. He’d eaten a quarter before he realised. Gastric issues and nausea for 2 days.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds amazingly comfortable like sleeping on a cloud. Dining very pleasant

slightly limited menu once you have stayed a couple of days, but understanding its a bit more remote so that would impct supply.

The staff are fabulous and the resort is small which we like. The food was good and the service by Sonny and Sharon in particular was excellent. We were upgraded to an overwater villa. The snorkeling right outside the room was pretty good too! It’s very close to Lalomanu beach which is beautiful and where we found a couple of good places to eat.

This resort needs some money spent on it. The villa we were in did not have a handle for the big heavy sliding door going out onto the very lovely deck. I struggled to open it and given we were in and out lots and we were there for 6 days this really was painful. It had once had a handle but that had broken off. Also I am not convinced the spa was operating. I was unable to get a massage as it was always the masseuse’s day off. I tried to get in for 4 days during the week to no avail.

I really loved the little reef they had. It was protected from the weather and very beautiful.
