New Large 2 Bed entire apartment Near Newcastle upon Tyne with Free Parking

The place was very clean. The room was nice. My favourite shop was close by.

Am not sure, but heater stopped working in the morning the day I was checking out, so I couldn't use hot water, which the weather was really cold.

Had up to date facilities and was very spacious and comftable

The location made it hard to walk into Newcastle centre

There was parking available.

It was freezing when we arrived in the dark as the boiler had been turned off and kitchen/bathroom windows left open. The place had a peculiar smell that reminded me of stale nicotine despite being advertised as non-smoking. Relaxing in the living room was not easy as the sofas were sofa beds and did not have much padding or depth of seat, not comfortable for watching TV. The TV is wifi via app only and that kept buffering. The bathroom was clean although the hot water tap on the bath was constantly running at a low level. The kitchen was superficially clean with crumbs around the kettle, kettle not descaled, bits of dirt in the fridge, lots of remnants of grease on the pots/pans and a dirty oven. The front door was tricky to close without using the key to lock it. Despite the offer of 15% off a further stay to write a review we will not be returning.

Lovely apartment, great location for what we wanted, comfortable and had everything we needed.

Easy access to the flat which was OK for the night stopover on the way to Scotland.

NO HOT WATER throughout our stay. We reported it but it wasn't investigated until after we left.

This property is basically 1/2 a house, it is so easy to find and very close to the A1 yet it is in a wee cul-de-sac so very quiet overall, you get so much space! We had a kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 bedrooms and we only stayed one night! The place was very very clean, the host communicated very well, the lockbox was easy to find and there is tons of parking outside the house and in the cul-de-sac, I would be tempted to book this one or similar again.

The doors are all old doors with privacy glass in them, this means if someone is awake and someone is sleeping and lights are turned on you get disturbed, it would be better to replace the doors as some also did not close properly, I used my sleeping mask thankfully and that solved the issue for me, also the bath tap leaked all night, thankfully it did not make enough noise to disturb us but needs to be fixed. Also, when I was in the bedroom at night I could hear a neighbour having a full converastion on there phone for 1/2 hour, weird!

It was clean and well presented. The beds were comfy, nice shower. It was fine for a two night stay for three of us. Parking outside was really helpful too.

The area didn’t feel the nicest but we had no issues during our stay.
