New Large 2 Bed entire apartment Near Newcastle upon Tyne with Free Parking

Went to visit a relative who lived round the corner from here.. Sooooo convenient. We asked for early arrival which was allowed and even got a message before this time to say the property was ready. Left something behind and the owner could not have been more helpful in returning it.. Thank you. Communication would be 11 out of 10 if I could

Location - it was absolutely terrifying driving onto the estate to be greeted by broken fridge freezers strewn across the street, smashed up vehicles in peoples gardens and a general sense of unease due to the obvious deprivation in the area. when booking it, the website says its in Kenton but its actually in Cowgate, which is known to be one of the worst areas in the country for crime. The outside of the property was very off-putting with overgrown weeds up the path, manky curtains on the windows and again a fridge freezer and suitcase just threw outside. Once inside it was no better. There was a musty smell on entering the property, with the carpet/ sofas and walls all stained. The sofas also smelt like wet dog, i have seen this on a previous review too where it was questioned by the hosts. It was evident that the property had not been cleaned properly as we found loose change on the rug in the living room and on the seats in the living room, which were like sitting on a concrete floor. We went to tesco and bought our own bed sheets as one of the beds had a blood stain on it and also the spare pillows were without pillow cases and covered in stains too. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with brown stains down the toilet and a dirty shower/ sink. There is also no privacy as all the doors have glass in them which you can see through. Only the fact it was too late when we arrived, to go anywhere else we would have just booked into a hotel and got out of there. The place was terrifying due to the surroundings we found ourselves in and resulted in a terrible nights sleep for all 4 of us. Its noted its close to Newcastle city center, but is a good 10 minute drive into the city centre. Im confused at the reviews this place has received, don’t let it deceive you, like it did us. The reviews do not reflect what we found at the property.

Good size apartment, good kitchen amenities, quiet clu-de-sac

Outside property needs clean up, not sure if belongs to next door, rusty fridge at entrance.

A lovely place in a prime location at a reasonable price — cosy and charming.

It’s just spacious nothing else

I didn’t like the location to start with It’s not standard enough for the money paid If you’re looking for a great Airbnb this is not one The towels provided were so worn out And there’s no hot water throughout my stay I questioned the cleanliness cause the mirror In the bedroom wasn’t clean and there were stains on the pillow cover 🤦‍♀️ I will not be staying again

Quiet location, comfortable beds, adequate kitchen stuff and enough room in the apartment for 4 people.

Photos on Booking.com misleading as these must have been taken when the property was new. Now everything is dated and there things that need fixing eg. front door difficult to lock and bathroom door stiff etc
