Famiana Resort & Spa - Breakfast is served as Brunch 6AM30 to 1PM

Everything was absolutely amazing. Perfect location, perfect family suite, perfect food, perfect service, perfect everything.

We stayed at the Famiana Resort for 6 nights and had a deluxe double room with a sea view – very clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished. The reception was friendly and professional. We had overlooked the free airport shuttle and therefore traveled by Grab. Upon arrival, there was a brief moment of confusion with security, who initially didn't believe we had a booking, even after showing the confirmation. This was quickly resolved, however, and everything went smoothly after that. They're probably not used to backpackers ;) The hotel complex is beautiful and very well-maintained, only about 10 minutes from the airport. Getting Grab rides is extremely difficult, however, so it's worth using the hotel shuttle. The breakfast was truly outstanding – one of the best we've had in Vietnam, with a wide selection and great quality. We didn't use the restaurant, as there are several good and much cheaper alternatives nearby. The beach is beautiful, but unfortunately, there's a lot of trash floating in the sea – a general problem on Phu Quoc, for which the hotel can't do anything. At checkout, we had to wait briefly for the room to be checked, and then we were asked where the beach towels were, even though we had properly left them. This was a bit odd and left a slightly unpleasant impression. Overall, the Famiana is a very good, professionally run hotel with high quality in all areas. However, it lacks a bit of the warm, personal hospitality that you often experience in Vietnam. Nevertheless, we definitely recommend it – 4 stars for a great hotel in an unfortunately somewhat overly touristy area.

Having to produce the physical credit card I paid with that I only had online card and the reception manager didn't understand and wanted to refund and book again, very weird.

Så dejligt og lækkert et hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed. Der var en del støj fra renovering af nabohotellet, men vi fik lov at skifte værelse halvvejs i opholdet og det hjalp. Ellers var alt perfekt, personalet var så søde og hjælpsomme.

Beautiful property on the beach. Very relaxing . Garden setting with a great pool. Excellent food at the restaurant with excellent breakfast buffet. Some very good restaurants close by. Bungalow style rooms with good size balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful to make you comfortable. Diem, the very special lady at the front desk was so nice and even went to the airport with me to help fix a complicated problem to get me on my flight. ‘Would love to come back.

The resort is located in the center of phu quoc but when you enter the resort you will step in a quiet and relaxed environment. The garden and the rooms are well maintained. You have a private, quiet beach area. The pool is massive and the restaurant for breakfast is nice. The breakfast buffet is really good, a la carte egg station and many food options. I really like the room design. Everything is very clean. I had the feeling there were more staff than guests. Minibar was included and that made up the room price. Beach bar a bit rusty. Overall very relaxing experience.

The staff are robots. They don’t understand you even when you explain it in Vietnamese with google translate. With the overpriced room rate I expect more staff speak a good English. They have a happy hour from 4-6pm for cocktails. I do not drink alcohol. So I asked if I can have a mocktail. No one understood and everyone was just asking for my room number (FOR WHAT???). In the end they told my I can’t have a mocktail because this is the „rule“ that just cocktails are served for happy hour. Actually I was sent from the bar to the restaurant to the reception to ask for a drink. That’s poor service. I add photos about the walls which divides the part to another hotel next to the resort. It doesn’t look good. Overall the place is a nice treat for some days off but the resort is not a place to spend your honeymoon or your one - year- vacation. I must admit the guest service manager did a good job in the end and was listening to all my feedback and critics.
