15th Century Thatched Cottage

Though the cottage was old it had character and was spacious, comfortable and very cosy. We enjoyed a beautiful log burner (logs not included) but it was no problem purchasing some from the local co-op. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious, a beautiful dining room table area and a comfortable lounge. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage.

The cottage was very quaint and, on the whole comfortable. The outside area was pleasant in the sunshine.

The bed in the room at the right of the stairs was extremely uncomfortable and makes a noise with every move you make. Also the screen in that room is dangerous as it is free standing and fell over in the middle of the night when I caught it with my shoulder. The cobwebs in the fire places were a little off putting and the smell of soot from the fire place in the dinning room was very strong. Some of the crockery could do with replacing as it is chipped and larger mugs would be great.

Absolutely make a place to stay gutted it’s already gone for me to stay there next week

The cottage is cosy. Perfect for what we needed it for. There is a toilet & sink in both rooms. The kitchen is a good size.

The smaller bed out of the 2 wasn't very comfortable. My mother-in-law had to sleep on the sofa the second night as the slats kept falling through which then made her have a sore back. The knives weren't very good so it was difficult to cut up fruit & veg.
