"Enjoyed our stay but property missold"

5.0

Well equipped kitchen. Lots of seating. Toilet in each bedroom.

Unable to open windows. Advertised 2 bathrooms, only 1. Drain pipe for kitchen sink not connected so waste water stagnated by back door

"Really nice but it could have been a bit warmer in the cottage."

8.0

Beautiful cottage. Everything you need for a stay is there.

We could not get the heating to work properly. Luckily we are used to wood burners so we used those to get the cottage warmed up. Maybe it is an idea to mention on your site that people should bring some wood for the wood burners.

"Quaint cottage"

6.0

The quaintness. Good place to stay for visiting cambridge, Ely & St. Ives. The wood burner in the livingroom was nice to use, it would have been nice if wood & coal was provided, we had to buy our own.

Not very homely or cosy, could do with adding pictures, decor etc so the walls are less bland. The microwave was not fit for purpose, rusty & blistered inside, had to ask owner to replace it which she did, other kitchen items were well past their best too & nothing to heat food in the microwave as all kitchen plates etc had a metal trim. One bedroom has a very low roof & not good if you are over 5ft 6. Stairs very narrow & steep, but this is expected in a property of this age. Also the owners had their motorbike stored outside the back door which made it awkward to park & blocked the view from the garden seating area.

"Nice stay in a lovely village."

9.0

Staying in a thatched cottage is always charming, and quirky. The cottage felt suitably old, but with enough modern amenities to make the stay lovely. Was nice to find it had decent WiFi enabling me to work from the cottage.

We weren't sure if we should use the wood burning stoves: would have been nice to have had a welcome pack explaining how to use them, where to find wood, etc. Might have been nice if some wood & kindling was included.

"Demure and quaint stay, prefect countryside escape."

9.0

Two fireplaces! The rooms were really cute, and I liked how they both had en suites. Well furnished, lots of plates and cutlery in the kitchen. Decently tall ceilings considering the age of the property.

Can’t really open windows but overall didn’t have much of an impact.

"Very good"

8.0

Lovely authentic cottage, everything was very clean, and is a genuine cottage with everything a bit wonky. Great cooking facilities, TV, dining table and 2 bedrooms.

Needs to make clearer how low the ceilings are, as we are both very tall and struggled. Some logs for the real fires would have been great too.
