Grandmother's House - Salerno

The location is 5 min walk from the train station and 2 min walk from the bus station (SITA). Nearby there are supermarket, a lot of coffee shops, restaurants. The host was super friendly and guided us when we had question. Wifi was strong and fast. The room was clean, large and comfortable. There is a kitchen and biscuits with jam/nutella are offered. The atmosphere is good, relaxed.

The host prepared 2 bottles of drink for us in the shared fridge but after we returned from sightseeing another guests picked them up. Since kitchen is shared, utensils and mugs were as clean as other guests left them. The door might have a spare key or numbered lock. We accidentally almost locked ourselves out (luckily no, but only half second ...).

The house was 15 min from city center. People friendly.

The location is perfect, close to the city center, railway & bus stations. You can take a local bus to take a trip along the Amalfi Coast. Nice Italian breakfast in the cafe near the flat. Sometimes the staff ask for extra money for the same coffee and cornetto, another don't...could be sorted because it's a bit confusing. There's near by well stocked supermarket opens 7 days a week, named Sole 365.

There is a kitchen in the flat, possible to use for extra money. Also access to wifi is in addition to payment. It's not big money but it will be easier to add it to the price of the room.

Decent stay, good location!

The breakfast was at a coffeteria and consisted of only a croissant and an espresso. Nothing more, nothing less.

Location was good Unit was clean

They did not have a toilet roll holder .. They did not have a soap and shampoo holder in the shower … The pillows provided were terribly soft and hurt our neck and we asked Allessando if he had spare but he said they were stolen So we had to purchase our own pillows…. There was no cupboard to place clothes and other drawers , just a flimsey rack that did not Realy serve its purpose … There was a kettle in the kitchen yet no tea or coffee sachets were provided .. No real microwave to heat up coffee that was bought from outside … Their was only one small stool in the balcony , so only one person could sit ,,, he could have bought a couple of gold out chairs to provide for guests wanting to sit on the balcony and have a cigarrete or a bit to eat etc ,,,, The towels provided were very old and worn out …. There were not ont tea towel in the kitchen ….

Great contact with the apartment's owner, super nice bar serving croissants and coffee for breakfast by the corner, very neat and clean room with a nice view from the balcony. Very well located, the old town is within the walking distance. I'm sure to come back when in Salerno again.

We had a very pleasant stay at Alessandro's place. The location made our day trips from Salerno to Capri island and neighbouring villages very accessible. Train station, ferry terminal and bus station can be reached by foot in just few minutes. Definitely a good place to stay with very affordable price.

Location is great, walkable distance to the main train station.

The bedroom is good enough for a few nights however there is a bad smell coming from the bathroom.
