Grandmother's House - Salerno

Bathroom was private but kitchen had to be shared by 2 more rooms and unfortinately it was situated close to our room. During the last day of our stay in this B&B two vietnamese girls checked in and scaled fish and cleaned crayfish which they had evidently bought for dinner, then fried them. The smell was awful eapecially for me because I am allergic to fish. On the top of it the girls threw the remnants into the trash basket where it remained for the whole night. I had to plug my nose in order not to smell the horrible stench in the morning when we passed by the kitchen on our way out. I am far from blaming the host, there was the note pinned to the wall to the effect that the guests should ask the host's permission to cook in the kitchen and pay 5 Euro for each cooking... But of course the vietnamese girls didn't understant it... That was the worst experience of our stay in appart,emt and I made a point NEVER ro stay in appartments with shared kitchen being very sensitive to smells.

The person who was responsible for our check-in was very helpful! We arrived very late, and he sent me videos with complete instructions on how to get in and how things work. The room was spacey and looked clean. Overall, the person with whom we communicated (I believe Alessandro) was the best thing that this hotel had to offer...

The mattress and especially the pillows are very uncomfortable! The shower didn't work properly, so it was difficult to use it. Even though the bathroom was private, was located right next to room that other people were asleep (we could hear them snoring), so we couldn't use the bathroom at night, because we didn't want to wake them up. We arrived at night, and we could only wash our hands, as the dog of one of the other guests started barking, and we didn't want to wake everyone up... The breakfast was just a croissant and a coffee.
