Bonne Esperance, Simon's Town

Alex and her staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful and relaxed hosts. The most important things - clean, crisp bed linen, comfortable bed, and lovely breakfast were all spot on. The house has been sensitively renovated and has real character. The outdoor spaces are not yet finished but this didn’t detract from the overall experience.

The garden/outside area could be improved for guest relaxation, particularly shade for a windy day on the Cape when umbrellas are not possible

Great location for penguins and also to explore the main town, lots to do nearby. Great sun trap by the pool with 2 wonderful host cats who did a little head boop when they saw you. lovely breezy breakfast room and great little places around eh property to chill out. Also great books scattered around the room and common areas to browse. Alex was super attentive and accommodating.

Everything was perfect. The rooms are very clean and beautifully furnished. The beds are comfy. We stayed in apartment 2 which also has a fully equipped kitchen. Alex and her team are super friendly and helpful. She gave us tips what to do and even had snorkels and goggles available. The pool was a bit cold, but very clean and we could relax on the sunbeds. The location is also perfect to visit the penguins at boulders beach by foot, so you do not have to struggle finding a parking spot. Simons Town is also very cute and safe to walk around.

Very conveniently located walking distance into town and beaches just across the road. Lovely spacious and comfortable room with high ceilings beautifully renovated, you can see with all the little touches the owners have put a lot of love into restoring and decorating the house. Our stay included a fabulous breakfast which can be enjoyed on the terrace with a view of the ocean. Absolute gem. Will definitely be back!

This guest house is a beautiful, charmingly renovated old house in Simon’s Town and we absolutely loved it. The ocean view from our room was breathtaking, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfasts delicious. There is also a lot of seating in the garden and a nice pool. The staff were wonderful, and Nic and Alex were amazing hosts who truly made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this guest house and would come back without hesitation.
