Beautiful surroundings. The staff were all very polite and helpful . Our room was very nice and bed was comfortable. We ate every evening in the restaurant and the food was excellent. We also had breakfast a couple of days which was self service cereals , fruit and hot food all very good . We had a really enjoyable stay .

hotel is very tired. food was very good. location is very nice and the property refurbised could do realy well.

Friendly staff, location and very picturesque. Perfect dog friendly cottages and lovely walks by the river.

Location was amazing, on river Trent with fabulous riverside sit-outs and lawns. Interesting remains of watermill in grounds. Very tasty and keenly priced menu at dinner. Breakfast was simple but satisfying.

The coffee could have been a bit fresher. We did not have a river view... next time perhaps.

Willingness and helpfulness to change booked room to downstairs which we had booked but apparently requests on booking.com don’t apply. Pleasant and helpful staff

Duvet with ill fitting cover very uncomfortable. No handrail or slip mat to aid entry to the over bath shower ( essential for older people).
