Very cozy and clean. The property was very well maintained and it has everything that we needed during our trip.

The wifi was not working during our trip but there was live tv so we were still able to watch movies and football

We loved everything about our stay with Bowness Retreats. The van was exceptionally clean, and so many extras and little touches that made it a 10* for myself and hubby. The smell was amazing so clean and fresh and bright. We were met by Kevin the owner who I cannot praise enough for his correspondence before and during our stay

There was nothing not to like.

"A lovely family staycation in the perfect setting."

It was a great space for a family of 6 and everyone was comfortable. The location of the lodge was fantastic with a quick walk to the lake and also into Bowness. It was quiet and peaceful and everyone had a lovely time. The sunset over the lake is a sight to behold. Magical.

"Lovely stay"

Had a great stay here, perfect location for walking into town and to the boats etc. also only a few mins away from the Beatrix potter attraction and Peter rabbit cafe. So plenty of things to do close by, we didn’t actually use the car all weekend and just got the boat to Ambleside for a trip out. The caravan is in a good location on the park near the entrance which I actually didn’t mind since we were walking everywhere it made it easier. Spacious caravan with plenty of room for a family, well maintained and some nice homely touches. Also has designated parking spaces for 2 cars. Loved there was a dishwasher and a few things like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and tea towels to use. Also plenty of toilet roll which can often be lacking! Kevin was great and answered any questions I had, deposit was returned swiftly after leaving. Would definitely stay here again!

The WiFi wasn’t very good so was difficult to watch streaming services. Depends if this is an issue we managed to find things to watch on freeview and my phone signal was ok.
