"Passable"

The location was handy for the town, only a few minutes drive away. The bedroom was nice and light, the bed was really comfortable and the bed linen and towels were fresh and clean.

Unfortunately the overall standard of cleanliness was pretty poor.. The mugs were dirty, and needed a good clean before we could use them. The kitchen wasn't too clean either, and we had difficulty finding any teabags. The bedroom would definitely benefit from being redecorated. We couldn't get the shower to work which was disappointing.

The host is a lovely man and made us feel so comfortable it gives a a really good vibe staying here and it’s absolutely great value for money..will be staying here again for sure !

"One night in Whitby"

Very basic accommodation but for £36 a night about right. Welcoming host. Short walk to the centre and my preferred pub.

Coffee etc to go with kettle in room. Small TV in room. No shaving mirror in shared bathroom. No breakfast
