Comfortable & Modern Double Room

The host was really welcoming and friendly.

The room was quite clean but the rest of the house, particularly the kitchen was a little dirty.

Edwin the host was beyond exceptional, one of those hosts that if you want can share a beer with you and get personal or if you don't want is intelligent enough to leave you to your own devices and let you get on with it. The property whilst not the ritz is exactly as described and is clean and in a great position, close to the centre yet far enough out to be extremely tranquil. The bedroom is lovely, as described very light and a great view and Edwin went above and beyond the call of duty to provide me and the wife a dozen fresh yellow roses and some red rosy apples to nibble on. In terms of value it's outstanding, look at the photos, understand what it is and what it isn't. It's not 5 star luxury but it is very homely, clean, very comfortable and the crowning glory is Edwin, an absolute genuine guy and a pleasure to meet and stay with for the night.

Nice and cosey, good location, the man in charge of the property was very helpful and considerate,would definitely stay again plus their were some lovely fresh flowers put in our room to make it feel even more special x

easy enough to find (though I got slightly lost on my first time), close to the centre but away from the main tourist madness, friendly host. Easy and pleasant to talk to, happy to give tips and suggestions where to go or what to see. Travel info leaflets were available, apples and chocolates were waiting on the table, though it might have been better to not place the chocolate on the table in direct sunlight...

I am not a very clean person in my own 4 walls, so I don't mind if one or two things are not 100% perfect, but I found few things could have been a it cleaner. It wasn't totally absolutely disgustingly filthy or anything, but here and there it could and should have been a bit cleaner. Room to improve here.

Honestly couldn't even come up with even a small complaint

Very friendly hosts. Had everything I needed and hosts exceptionally helpful and kind. Needed items to fix my electric bike and Edwin kindly said I could use address to have the parts sent. Would have stayed longer but booked last minute and there was only one night vacancy as rest of week full - not surprised. Thank you for all your help and would definitely stay again when in Whitby.
