Amazi Land Home and Farm Stay

Debora et Dunier ont été des hôtes extrêmement accueillants, et nous profitons de ce commentaire pour les remercier à nouveau chaleureusement. Nous avons eu le plaisir de partager un dîner en leur compagnie, un excellent moment. Le repas était délicieux et Dunier est un remarquable cuisinier. La chambre était simple, confortable et tout à fait conforme à nos attentes. Cependant, le véritable point fort de ce séjour est l'environnement exceptionnel. L'établissement est situé dans une petite ferme avec des chèvres et des moutons, ce qui lui confère beaucoup de charme et d'authenticité. La propriété dispose également d'un accès direct au lac, et Debora peut organiser différentes excursions pour découvrir les environs. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet endroit et le recommandons sans hésitation à ceux qui recherchent le calme, la nature et l'authenticité, avec en prime une magnifique vue sur le lac et les îles environnantes.

Quelques points pourraient toutefois rendre l'expérience encore plus agréable. La présence d'une climatisation dans les chambres serait appréciable, notamment pendant les journées les plus chaudes. Le petit-déjeuner, bien que bon, nous a semblé un peu léger. En revanche, la guacamole préparée par Dunier est excellente et mérite d'être mentionnée. Pour davantage de confort, l'installation de prises ou de diffuseurs anti-moustiques dans les chambres serait un vrai plus. Enfin, l'ajout d'une table sur la terrasse située à côté des chambres permettrait aux voyageurs de profiter pleinement de la magnifique vue sur le lac et d'admirer les superbes couchers de soleil dans les meilleures conditions.

So much to love about this place. Incredible people, magnificent views and location… very comfortable, and a bonus of adorable friendly animals. I absolutely recommend taking meals with them - the food is awesome. A particular highlight!

Loved everything about it.

I absolutely loved staying here. It is such a unique place to stay. They have the best spot in the Kibuye area in my opinion, you just have to see all the expensive hotels chose this peninsula but these guys have the best view right at the end. They can organize fun things to do like boat or canoe rides, i wanted a chill sat so enjoyed the say in the hammock with a couple beers at sunset (and even heard the signing fishermen at that time) - the best!!! The veg dinner prepared in the evening is DELICIOUS and well priced and breakfast on the balcony sublime, all with fresh air and that view. :-) The animals are all adorable and you will not find better hosts - its like you are staying with friends, seriously!! If you're looking for a break from boring hotels, treat yourself to a memorable stay.

Having to leave after one night, 2 would have been a smarter choice.

Amazi Land was truly one of the most beautiful, memorable, and heartwarming stays we have had. The breathtaking views over Lake Kivu are simply unmatched; honestly, some of the best views in Rwanda, in our opinion. Waking up to panoramic lake views, peaceful surroundings, and the quiet beauty of nature was an experience in itself. Whether enjoying the scenery from the terrace or simply sitting and taking it all in, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, relaxing, and unforgettable. What really makes this place exceptional, however, is the people. Debora was an exceptionally warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind host who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived and was always there to ensure everything was perfect. The caretaker/chef was equally friendly, attentive, and helpful, always ready to assist and incredibly hospitable throughout our stay. The breakfast deserves a special mention; simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious, made even more memorable by being served with what can only be described as a million-dollar view over Lake Kivu. Everything felt thoughtful, homely, and carefully curated to make guests feel comfortable and cared for. And then there were the animals, which added so much warmth and character to the experience. The dogs were incredibly friendly and energetic, while the goats completely stole our hearts, especially Nancy, who quickly became our favorite and made every interaction feel special. If you love animals, peaceful surroundings, and genuine hospitality, this place will feel like paradise. All in all, this felt like more than just a stay; it was a peaceful retreat and a true home away from home. We absolutely loved it and are already looking forward to coming back.

Very little to complain about, honestly. The peaceful and secluded setting is part of what makes this place so special, and once you arrive, it feels like a little paradise overlooking Lake Kivu. If anything, our only regret was that we stayed for too short a time; we genuinely wished we had booked a longer stay to enjoy more of the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, wonderful hospitality, and time with the lovely animals.

Wow, what a special place! The kindest hosts (Deborah is so kind and interested), most delicious food (Dunier is world best chef!), beautiful views of Lake Kivu, cutest animals we have ever encountered. Incredible stay!

Nothing not to like

Deboras kleine "Farm" liegt am Ende einer kleinen Landzunge am Ostufer des Kivu-Lake. Die Aussicht ist phantastisch. Debora hat uns herzlich empfangen und wir fühlten uns von der ersten Sekunde an wie zu Hause. Dunier hat uns ein traditionelles Abendessen gekocht, das seinesgleichen sucht. Anschliessend haben wir mit unseren Gastgebern einen geselligen Abend beim Kartenspiel verbracht. Debora hat für uns einen Guide organisiert, der uns am nächsten Tag auf einer Etappe des Kongo-Nile-Trails begleitet hat. Es war einfach nur wunderbar. Vielen dank für alles.

Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht da, weil wir auf einer Rundreise waren. Wir wären gerne länger da geblieben.
