Spacious 2BR Apartment Central Colchester Near Station Fast WIFI

The hosts responded quickly to our queries and provided an extra radiator promptly due to the cold. The location is excellent in terms of convenience, however we had originally booked a flat that faced the back of the streets which would have minimised the noise pollution mentioned below. Unfortunately we could not stay there. The flat was clean and nicely decorated. We would definitely stay again but would do so at the original inward facing property instead.

The location of the property is both a blessing and an issue. It is well located next to the train station and close to the shops. However this convenience comes with the price of noise in the early hours from traffic and also customers from the night club below. Having come from Asia and a warmer climate, it would have been appreciated if the host had turned on the heating prior to our arrival. If you are planning to stay in the winter, ask for an extra radiator.

The stay was good but I got sick.

The bed is completely taken by bedbugs, I was bitten and got a serious allergy and ended up in the hospital.

Nothing. It was infested with these bugs as the pictures will show you. We left after one night when we were meant to stay for 5 nights.

It was infested with these big bugs. There was loads of them and we left after one night because it was horrifying. Instead of getting a full refund for this experience, we were overcharged for the one night we stayed which was a joke and extremely immoral.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was truly awful. Upon arrival, we discovered bedbugs in the bed, which was both shocking and deeply unsettling. Photos and videos of the bedbugs were sent to the owners. The owners did attempt to disinfect the bed that same day, but unfortunately, it was not effective. Later that night, more bedbugs appeared, making it impossible to sleep in the bed. I ended up sleeping on the couch, which was extremely uncomfortable and not what I paid for. The presence of bedbugs turned what should have been a relaxing trip into a stressful ordeal. This issue completely ruined our stay. Hygiene and cleanliness should be a basic standard, and sadly, this apartment failed to meet it.
