Natalie and John were lovely hosts and made us very welcome. A good base to see places in the area. Walking distance to the sea front, railway, buses and shops. We enjoyed our stay very much and have taken happy memories home with us.

Great location

My regular trips from north to St Leonards to visit my very sick adult son in a care home is never, obviously, a jolly time but dear host Natalie was so friendly and accommodating it felt more like staying with a friend rather than somewhere where everything is done in a  perfunctorily manner....I've stayed in similar just around the corner and yes it was bigger and could offer more but it was just that....perfunctory, and not a patch on Livadia House. I stayed 4 nights and was treated like a person rather than somebody to process which means a lot to me, particularly on these emotional visits. Nothing seemed too much for Natalie. She even offered to collect me from the station when she realised I wasn't driving! I could hardly believe it! She also let me accompany her when she went shopping so I could find a birthday cake for my son. The accommodation...yes, it's a small compact room with a fabulous new double shower and small separate loo and might not suit everyone but then you're not spending the whole day in it!  Even though I DID actually spend a lot of time in it. It was exceptionally clean, had everything I needed (what it didn't have I only needed to ask for) it had a very comfortable sofa bed with many layers of covers to make it super comfy which I spent many hours on just reading. I felt very at home, rested and didn't want to leave. If I'm being really honest though I can see that it might be a little tight for 2 with the sofa bed expanded, but that's just the room I was in...the blue room in the photos. For one or two night for a couple in my opinion but perfect for one for any number of nights. But that's a personal take. I loved the cosiness of it. Normally when we travel as a couple we tend to book small apartments for anything more than 2-3 nights as we find them more suited to our needs but I think we would both still stay at Livadia House. It might just work perfectly!

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Great host and location, on street parking is available.

The bed was very hard, but that's just a personal preference.

Natalie was a very good host, breakfast was excellent, the omlette was very tasty, good coffee. I was able to store a very expensive e-bike at the rear of the house. Plus re-charge the battery in my room.

From my view and the monies paid there was noting I did not like about my stay. All was expected.
