Tipsy Cottage with fire-pit and BBQ

Kitchen was a lovely design and spacious. The place was in a great location for us, near to the New Forest for days out and was relatively cheap.

The place came up as an option on the search filter when we booked it as having two bathrooms but it only has the one. The shower was a little temperamental and the hot water didn't last long, but that could have been our ignorance as to how to control it. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Mixed feelings the house itself was very comfortable Kitchen area and bedrooms were really well presented. Really kind of the owners to leave sugar tea coffee etc and some logs to burn on the fire.

We experienced a few issues the bath leaked through to the kitchen , the outdoor burner was broken and one of the rings on the oven didn't work. We did have someone come over to make sure the roof wasn't about to collapse and the electrics were ok and was promised a mail from the owner. This didn't happen. My husband even mailed to say there were two further baths ran and no leaks and to report the oven again no reply. Personally think that the house needs to be checked off everytime someone comes in and given the owners live next door I can't see that being to much of an issue!

House was very quirky and nicely decorated. Log burner was welcome in the evenings

Couldn't find a tin opener unfortunately!

Tipsy Cottage was a very convenient location for us to have family members stay, when we already had a full house.

I think that the instructions about the key code could have been clearer; it was dark when we arrived at the cottage and we couldn't see that the code was on the door handle.

Had a lovely 2 night stay here recently. Cute décor and especially loved the extra touch of a Christmas Tree and a few decorations dotted here and there. Completely equipped for everything you need, including Tea & Coffee and some toiletries which were available to use, a lovely touch. Very clean and communication with the owner was flawless. Entry was easy using a code rather than searching for a key as we arrived later in the day. Bed was very comfortable and the cottage was warm enough without the log fire. A welcome break to start the Christmas celebrations, will definitely look to book here again. Location was perfect as was about a 10 minute walk into town, and Lidl literally across the road.

There isn’t really much to say here. Would have appreciated a non slip mat for the inside of the bath when showering but other than that all things were provided.

A spacious cottage with good ceiling height and nice garden. Comfortable stay for 4 adults. Easy parking opposite the house. Attentive host.

It is on a busy road but we knew this and it didn’t bother us.
