Haven Lakeland 3 Bed Luxury Caravan

No communication from the owner of the caravan. Arrived at 11pm & the guys on the gate had no clue who we were, spent the next 45 minutes trying to contact the owner to find out what caravan number we were staying in. Finally got through & found out the number, but then no keys available!! Luckily the guys who work at Haven were there to help out & have a master key for every caravan. If we stayed again, would book through Haven direct, as i didnt realise this was a private hire

The property was lovely and clean and tidy and very comfortable it also had had everything we needed including lovely clean fluffy towels 😊 the owner was very helpful and made sure we had everything to enjoy our stay

Sorry to say this...but after we arrived to the Caravan at Haven. Just keep in mind, is the person who rent the property, is not about he place...I understand there are so many people who rent... but keep in mind...this person after an 1h(by the time we arrived there and reception told us have to give them more information about what caravan it is) answered to the phone and told me U us she tried to contact us to not go to the caravan as is not available. I don't received any email and we made all the way till there with 3 kids, wait an hour to try to find out why not have all the info in the booking email what is been send with the confirmation number . So yeah...really bad experience..I should be aware for the bad reviews before me :(

The whole experience of this booking was beyond least expectation. The landlord didn’t provide any arrival instructions or any communication prior arrival. The security guards at entry could not find the booking. The contact provided by booking.com didn’t answer the phone for numerous times. After that guards suggested to go to Haven reception who might be able to help. I then went to the reception and got my key for 48 Derwent. The time of our key collection was about 15:30. Despite our check in was indicated as 10 AM when we went to the property after collecting the keys at 15:30 the property door was open and someone was clearing previous guests stuff from the property. When they saw us they left the property open for us. When we entered the property its condition was not very good. Floor was dirty, no bedding on the mattresses, used towels were left for us, duvets were without cover and odour from previous use was still there. There was no hot water and when we turned on the boiler it caught fire. The front panel of the boiler was broken and the fire was burning the plastic part of the front panel. After this incident I called the landlord so many times but no answer. I then called booking.com as it was a matter of fire safety. Booking.com got hold of the contact and said the landlord will contact me. Later I received a text asking about the problems. When I explained about the boiler and other problems he didn’t take any action and said he will send someone first thing next day to fix the boiler. We were left without hot water and a dangerous boiler which could make a catastrophic accident anytime. The next day I send a text to the landlord early in the morning to ask if anyone was coming. As usual no response whole day and no other resolution i.e.: arranging the missing bedding and duvet cover.

We arrived and had no gas both containers empty beeping fire alarm all night dripping tap. Reception closed .we had an early start reported when we got back as private let and could not get hd of owner no WiFi.

Clean and tidy. Well organised. Lovely touch receiving treats!
