The Matriarch Suites- Downtown Ashland, OR

The location and the available parking are big plusses here. Furnishings are adequate but not the most comfortable. Great TV viewing options. Some minor cleanliness issues but might be due to being assigned a room they did not plan to rent that night (see concerns).

The customer service needs to be more accurate. We booked long ago, but in the interim my husband broke a foot. Since we were still within the time to cancel, I contacted The Matriarch to ask about stairs. They replied it was flat except for possibly 2 steps. However, when we arrived, we were in an upstairs suite. At that point, they did move us to "the house" a much bigger space, but still bedrooms and full bathrooms were upstairs. We made the best of it, but what still doesn't set well is a reply to my concern received an apology for "minor miscommunication" and a claim that since I booked through this site, the room was assigned by booking. I'm sure they could see which room we had when I wrote about the broken foot and that answer was direct.

Attention to detail was amazing!!! The room was beautifully designed, with little touches like snacks, cold water, and bath salts.

We could hear the guests walking around in the suite above us. I put on some white noise at bed time.

The room was beautiful and the bathroom was to die for! The floor is even heated in the bathroom!

Everything was just fine!

Great attention to detail. Romantic, swank and lush decor, charming and thoughtfully appointed.

No complaints.

The pillows and mattresses were AMAZING !!! Privacy was wonderful as well.

Our television cable was very confusing to get to work.
