Oceano Hotel and Spa Half Moon Bay Harbor

Friendly check-in, good location, quiet, clean and comfortable room, with nice balance between style and functionality. Good bed, and we slept well. Fridge and coffee machine are always useful amenities in a room, so happy to have that too. I had a specific request regarding my room and the staff accommodated that, and so I very much appreciated that.

Our view of the ocean was nice, but between the room and the ocean there is a brewpub which has music on until 9pm (the night we stayed, a weekday). Though no music is heard inside the room with windows closed, and the volume not excessive, it kind of detracts from the enjoyment of the otherwise nice balcony. Minor but since I need to write about what I didn't like...

Staff!! Rude and not friendly.

Location was very good and close to many places to walk. Nice harbor view. Room was spacious and very well decorated. Staff was great. However, the towels, bed and some amenities were not as nice as I expected. Shower head didn't work well and make up mirror didn't work at all. Overall a very nice property however the room is right over the main street, so if quiet is your preference (which is mine), this may not be the best option.

A spectacular room with a beautiful western view, a fireplace and large bathroom.

Instructions from the parking garage to the third floor were not very clear but we eventually found our room. Also, I found the robes after we had spent the night as they were stored in a dresser drawer.
