"AVOID AT ALL COST"

Living room is decent

Worst place I booked for ages If you want peace and quiet DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The kitchen above the bedroom is literal insanity the levels of noise are a whole different level of crazy, I booked 3 nights and I only stayed here for 1 night it was that bad that I had to leave as fast as possible. Theres a washing machine above the bedroom and that woke me up it sounded like a literally tornado had ripped through the flat above. Every single floorboard is so so so loud theres not a single footstep that can be made above that doesnt send shockwaves through the curling down to you. DO NOT STAY HERE TRUST ME NOT IF YOU WANT PEACE!!!!! Plus whoever’s staying above

"Very good facility, some considerations would make it better"

Very neat and nice facility, the apartment was clean and well stocked. About 30 minutes walk to city center.

Response from owner could be better, didnt receive any response for 4 days. Privacy could also be improved as the two external doors were uncovered glass and you have to walk by one of the opened glass door to the bathroom. There was no floor towel provided, i had to buy, the TV wasnt connecting to the wifi, i had to connect with my phone.

"Spacious modern ground floor flat on an old quirky street"

Close to Royal William Yard. Access to Cornwall vía Devonport to Torpoint ferry which is a 5 minute drive from the accommodation. Lovely old street, very close to the harbour areas, my favourite view is harbour house less than 1 min walk away, when the tide is in. The property is modern, spacious, large rooms, great bathroom/ shower and large kitchen. Big modern TV with good WIFI internet. It does have parking which is a big plus.

The outside areas are in stark contrast to the inside areas which have been modernised. Parking is a bit tight down a very old cobbled street into shared private drive at rear accessed almost opposite the Royal Marines stonehouse Barracks, the brambles need cutting down so you dont get scratched stepping in and out of your car, as you have to park tight to the wall. A garden maintenance, and rubbish removal is needed from outside and a good clean up, and outside windows need cleaning! Lots of old rubbish ítems need removing. No curtains at front and back door. Some coat hooks would be very handy in the front hall ( theres stacks of room there). Washing up bowl would be handy, (porcelain sink) didnt use the dishwasher, only had toast in the morning, not enough plates or cups supplied to make it worth using it. Personally i'd put a few cheap cushions and blanket in the lounge as it has none, its lacking on homliness. Ideally curtains aswell in the lounge, its on lower ground floor at front so the property is quite dark, people walking past at street level are above you looking down.

Location was excellent 5 mins from King William Yard with it many eateries, bus into city passes front door. About 30 min stroll into town.

The front entrance could do with a little bit of a tidy up ….making it safer to negotiate steps but apart from that it was all fine.

"We had an enjoyable 3 night stay."

The property was really good. Home from home. Host was great. The parking at the back was a very “tight” space. As parking at the back wasn’t available, we had permits for the front of the property, but it was difficult to find a space each day. Also, there were steep steps at the front of the property to the front door which I found difficult. The shower was good, but the drain was blocked and kept flooding the bathroom which wasn’t good.

Just the parking and the shower and the steep steps.

The property is in a reasonable location and only a short walk to Royal William Yard. The bedroom and lounge are spacious and the kitchen space is good. The bed and pillows were very comfy and we made use of the tv in the lounge. While shared, the private parking is a positive.

The property seemed a little under-furnished. When relaxing in the lounge at night, there were no side tables to sit our drinks on or lamps. This meant we had to choose between the main light which was too bright for relaxing at night or sitting in darkness. A main issue with the bathroom is the shower drain is severely blocked causing the water to spill on to the floor. We were unable to take a full shower without turning the water on and off to prevent flooding the floor. This appears to be a reoccurring issue as the flooring is lifting between the floor and shower with black mold in the area too. If using the front door you have to bypass a lot of overgrown plants/weeds and the rear of the apartment is currently not well-kept.
