What a beautiful apartment in Kolkata — I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting the city! Despite us arriving late, we were warmly welcomed by Rabindra in the market outside and shown around the apartment and made to feel very comfortable. Breakfast each day was made by Rabindra, which was shared in the dining room of the family, which was a lovely experience — and absolutely delicious! The apartment was incredible clean, well maintained and homely. With modern air conditioning and fans throughout — perfect in the hot summer. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and present, with great recommendations of spots to visit in the wonderful city. In short — a truly wonderful stay, which we highly recommended to anyone visiting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Turquoise Letterbox. The hosts were lovely, the room was well equiped and tidy, and the breakfast was beautiful (especially the rice pudding). We would definitely recommend the Turquoise Letterbox to friends and family!

Quiet location in the midst of a buzzling city. Great and personalized service, beautiful decorated room, high quality airco and furniture and above all it felt life a safe place. Highly recommend.

We loved everything about Turquoise Letterbox. The location is great, within the wonderful, bustling shoe market, which we probably wouldn't have discovered had we not been staying here. The room we had was comfortable, clean, well equipped and the mattress and pillows were really good quality. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with their own freshly gathered eggs, but the best reason of all to book this accommodation is the owner Soumik and his staff, who really can't do enough to make your stay perfect. Firstly, great communication with Soumik before we arrived in India. He arranged for Chandan to pick us up from the airport and made this so easy for us with regular communication and messages from Chandan. During our stay all the staff were really attentive and looked after us so well that we didn't want to leave. Soumik recommended great restaurants, gave advice on things to do and the best Uber pick up location etc but the most wonderful kindness was when we were leaving as I asked if Chandan could take us to the train station to catch an overnight train we had booked. I mentioned that we were a little nervous about it, as on a previous visit to Delhi, a fake official at the train station scammed us and we missed our train. Soumik was genuinely upset to hear this and promised that this time everything would be perfect. True to his word, he promptly arranged for Chandan to not only take us to the station, but to accompany us to make sure we got to the correct platform without hassle. I really can't say enough about this place. Don't hesitate to book it and don't let it's shoe market location put you off as it's part of its charm.

I came there by taxi, I imagine it will be difficult to park. Be prepared for azaan in the morning. All these however go with the package that is Kolkata.
