The design and layout are fantastic- with period furniture, statement pieces, a great pool and patio area plus interesting and comfortable rooms.

Exceptional property - so tranquil - lovely lights at night. Really nice staff - very friendly and helpful. Do not be deceived by the unassuming street exterior- a secret passed behind closed doors.

Nothing- we really loved our stay here.

The staff were amazing! We stayed during Hurricane Beryl and, while 2 other hotels shut down and therefore left us homeless for the night, El Palacito went above and beyond to ensure we were not only safe, but also comfortable. The customer service provided was second to none. The breakfast included was really great and generous, one of the best we’d had in our stays in Mexico (having been here for 3 weeks in various locations). The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The location is great - set slightly out of the centre so it’s really peaceful and zen, but close enough to walk to everything.

The room in some places felt a tiiiiny bit dated, and it smelt a bit damp (perhaps due to humidity from the hurricane?). However, our overall experience of this hotel was positive and we’d definitely return!

Staff was exceptional! They helped with travel plans even though I had some set. They made the whole trip just so much better. Breakfast was absolutely out of this world. Very highly recommend!

It would be VERY hard to find something you didn't like about this hotel.

The property is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Breakfast was phenomenal with great coffee. The entire staff was so kind and ready to help. We loved it so much we ended up cancelling another stay and remained at the property for another night.

Opulent decor, huge room with lovely balcony and massive bath (Marie Antoinette), beautiful pool area which felt like a hidden oasis in a busy city. Great staff, tasty fresh breakfast, coffee and tea available 24/7. Brilliant bar, perfect for the final nightcap.

Our doors and windows rattled a lot (we were in the original building, which was beautiful) and it had a large stained glass window (also beautiful) without a curtain so we woke up at 6am every morning. But not everyone will be bothered by these original characteristics.
