Great place to rest and enjoy. After a walking day to jump in the pool just in fromof the room Breakfas was great, and service also great. Architectural and decoration on line with old Merida. The bead very comfortable. Great Silence to rest

The staff personable, helpful, professional. The property a gem, amazing decor and old world elegance. The breakfast excellent. Have travelled the world over two dozen flags occasionally happen upon a great property with amazing story. This is one of a handful of truly excellent properties had the good fortune to find. It may be located in a common neighborhood but open the door to an elegant hotel.

This is the best experience we have had in Mexico, hotel team are so great at communicating, arranged a driver to pick us up as our flight got in at 12.00am at night and welcomed us so late. We were 3 girls travelling felt so safe and looked after. HOWEVER THE BEST BIT, the team all seem to be friends, they are the most lovely people, you have breakfast to the sound of everyone in that hotel enjoying themselves and the warmth of the team here is like nothing else we have experienced in Mexico. Lovely lovely lovely lovely STAY HERE!!!!!

Exceptional accommodating staff, air conditioner in assigned room not operating properly, upgraded room. Breakfast was excellent. Day desk manager poised, professional, helpful.

Narrow staircase to upper rooms could use better rail and lighting.

Very spacious and clean room. Very comfortable - we chose the room named "Marie Antoinette". It has a balcony that overlooks the pool that is inside and there is also a bathtub. All in all, if You like fancy aristocratic hotel rooms - this is definitely the one! Receptionist Laura was amazing!!! She got You everything You needed - whether it was some info or just an extra blanket. She was super helpful, mega friendly, and always smiling like the sunshine. It is easy to get anywhere in Merida from the hotel by Uber, prices are very affordable. Breakfast was good, had a great selection to choose from. Everything was fresh and well prepared. No internet problems, we had wi-fi the whole time while we were at the hotel. There is air conditioning, so, the hotel was a great place to escape the heat of the middle of the day.

There was not much to do right outside the hotel. The neighborhood is pretty empty. Just one place to eat nearby, which was a bit pricey as it was not a fancy restaurant. On the other hand, it is easy to get by with an Uber, so, that is not a major problem. Would be great if the lobby had fresh water available at all times. We had to think constantly about not forgetting to buy water. There is no refrigerator in the room. We had some noisy guests from the Netherlands there for some days who occupied the pool the whole day and were loud and not considerate of others. But that is not the hotels' fault - we were just unlucky. I suggest if You have children, and want a pool vacation - there are great places in Playa de Carmen.
