Really lovely apartment very clean nice spacious bedrooms beds comfy and two separate bathrooms the owners provided kitchen items milk in the fridge on arrival some tea and coffee and biscuits which is nice after travelling and were easy to keep in touch with which gives peace of mind we would happily stay again - lovely views out the living room window. Just to note if you do not have a car (we did not) the walk into town is down a very steep set of hills about 20 mins we did taxis to get up and down as thought the walking would be challenging

No dislikes at all - we thought the balcony in the picture was part of the apartment which it is not so that was a small shame but it did not dampen our stay

The apartment did have great views. The living area was very spacious, tasteful, and well equipped. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was very clean. The bedrooms are very nice, as were both bathrooms. You have a reserved parking spot at the front. Although we didn't really use it, there is a basement room with all sorts of stuff in it, e.g. washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, recycling bins etc. We met the hosts briefly, as they were going away, and they were very friendly. There is a pub and a decent chippy within a very short walk, if you are tired after a day out, and can't be bothered heading down into town. Matlock itself has a nice park and plenty of places to eat and drink. There's an M&S Foodhall if you are self-catering. There's even an artisan sourdough bakery at the bottom of the hill, and they deliver. Which is nice.

It's right at the top of a steep hill, but if you've come to the Peaks to walk you should be ok with that. Its a nice area.

Bed frames very noisy with any movement

We stayed in Skylark view with friends. The property is refurbed to high standard and very clean and tidy. The biscuits, chocolate, tea and coffee and few bits in the fridge were a nice touch. Communication with Mark and Kate was great. The walk into town is via a steep hill but helped burn off some of the calories from all the eating and drinking. There are a few nice pubs and a chip shop within easy reach of the apartment. Overall, we had a brilliant stay and look forward to returning.

Stunning location with dedicated parking. Very well equipped and comfortable apartment in an architecturally interesting building. Loved the views over the Dale and town from the open plan lounge/diner/kitchen. Good information pack for guests, and prior to arriving, owner Kate quickly answered a couple of queries I had. Can thoroughly recommend the property (one of 4 apartments) and would readily book again.

Beautiful apartment, with fantastic views. Really enjoyed staying here! The apartment was clean, comfy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the place just felt nice and homely. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and check-in was simple. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Not really a negative, just something to note - its quite hilly so we ended up getting a taxi back most days but we didn't find this a problem, taxis were readily available and cost £5 from the town back to the apartment.
