Skylark View, Most Stunning Views over Matlock.

The key safe was frustratingly difficult to open and that was by many people and not just me

The facilities once inside were excellent and very superior. However, the online particulars were incorrect. It said there were two parking spaces, there were not. There was no mention whatsoever about the 14 very steep steps up to the property. Indeed, the particulars were very misleading in that it said the property was in an elevated position. Well, most of the properties in Matlock are elevated but that doesn't mean they all have many many steep steps. These extra steep steps were very problematic for me. Fortunately Dek very helpfully carried my bags upstairs.

Immaculate apartment clean and well furnished. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Wonderful views and great location.

High quality of fixtures and fittings. Great touches with beautiful smelling laundry and soft towels. Motion sensor light in hall - great idea. Fantastic views over the hills.

Gorgeous views. Property was clean and uncluttered. Finished to a high standard with a mostly modern feel to it. Lots of information provided by the hosts including games, dvds, books etc. Child friendly too, some nice touches for the youngsters. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept on in a long time and lovely pillows too, nice cotton sheets & duvet cover. The apartment was nice and warm and remained at a stable temperature. Very well equipped kitchen which, considering I was cooking for 7 was a real godsend! Communication with the hosts was fabulous.

The steps! Purely selfish reasons, they were very steep (but had good hand rails to cling on to). Could have done with more lighting at the bottom of the driveway/steps when we came home from a wedding reception late evening. The hot water seemed rather slow, but we all managed showers ok. 10am check-out is a little early.

The apartment was very large and extremely well equipped. Very nice and comfortable stay for the family. Could have easily stayed a lot longer.

The hill to the property was quite steep, but good exercise to walk up and there are taxis in Matlock to bring you up if you want.
