"La Portineria" Charming Apartment Old Town Como Lake

The apartment was exquisit, fantastically modern and super clean. We had everything we needed and more. The owner gave us coupons for a breakfast brunch which was fantastic. He also was available for any questions we had or suggestions. The location was superb.

It was the perfect stay.

Lovely apartment in Como downtown, 10 min walking to the lake.

This was a perfect apartment for our two-night stay in Como. The host was very helpful with guidance before the trip (There's a public car park a short walk away, etc) and was available to meet us with the keys - he lives in the same building which is helpful. The apartment is recently decorated in a very classy and comfortable way. The second bed (on mezzanine floor) would have been ideal for our teenage daughter (had she joined us). Super clean. And in a great location for walking around the town.

Everything was perfect. Host was responsive and extremely helpful. Would definitely come back.

Definitely recommend this Apartment, we had a warm welcome & the Host is very friendly, nice and easy to talk to. :) Our stay was perfect. As soon we entered the apartment it felt like home, it is very cozy and cute! The Beds and the sofa was very comfortable & this apartment had everything you need! It’s right in the City, 13 mins walk to the Central Station San Giovanni & it’s close to restaurants and shops :) We’ll definitely comeback to this Apartment, when we comeback to Como! Thank you Very much <3

The property is lovely! Very clean and looks brand new, nice amenities, and it’s in a great location! We also loved that the main entrance is street level so you can easily bring luggage inside. Despite being in a great area with some nice restaurants and shops on the next blocks, we did not have a problem with the apartment being noisy. The living area has comfortable seating and is cozy but would still seat a few people. The AC in this area works well. The kitchen has all you need and is nicely designed (and super clean) and we were so glad to be able to use the clothes washer to refresh a load of clothes, so helpful on a long trip. The bathroom is designer and very nice, great shower, a treat after some tiny hotel bathrooms. The large bedroom is great, with so much hanging space and storage space. Also has a good AC for those hotter days. Upstairs loft area is a nice space, great separate space for a friends trip (the ceiling is at about 6 feet, so the taller folks might need to be a little careful) and seems would be good for kids (as long as the stairs are ok for them). Only things I would note: -if anyone in your party has a mobility issue, there are two stairs from the entry/kitchen level to get to the living area and to get to the bathroom/bedroom area. -the mattresses are pretty firm. If you need a soft mattress, you’d prob need to layer them with something. We’d recommend this space and would definitely request it next time we are in Como!
