Jacobs Retreat- Lido Beach- well behaved dogs welcome

Location of caravan. Provided all the necessary amenities i needed. On the whole, my dog and i enjoyed our stay.

Confused email communication at the beginning. The reception staff were unsympathetic, unhelpful, and rude.

Had a wonderful stay at Jacobs retreat! peaceful & great location right by the beach and local Town. Would definitely recommend book!

Nothing about this was likeable

There were a lot of issues , we had only booked 1 night but due to the amount of issues we couldn't even stay for the 1 night, I was messaging the host up until 10pm the night before we were due to arrive for check in details and where caravan was situated on site, as in her correspondence it stated you will be given this information the day before you arrive, her response was that I seemed slightly concerned and it's not unusual to have this information up to 1 hour before arriving, despite her correspondence saying different. Before we even got into the caravan outside there were dirty underpants on the floor, a broken fence leaving a view into someone's garden and their rubbish, around the outside of the caravan some attention is needed. once inside the caravan the list of issues grew. The front door you can't prop open a piece of string is on the bottom of the door. It didnt smell very nice there was a dirty kitchen bin, dirty kettle, shower drain was dangerous as it was sticking up, bedroom with double bed (questionable,) smelt like someone's sweaty socks the bedding smelt damp, stuff coming off walls, arms on sofas weren't great, one of the twin bedrooms you couldn't open the door fully as there's not enough room. All the issues we experienced have been brought to booking.com attention along with photographs. The outcome is the host has said no refund or compensation as this is what you expect with a pet friendly caravan. Whether pet friendly or not a standard should be adhered to and this place does not. We have stayed in a lot of places that are pet friendly and found them clean and of a good standard unfortunately this caravan is not one of them and definitely not worth the money.

Caravan was lovely and clean and in a quiet area of the park. The owner was really helpful when we added 2 friends last minute to our family group booking. It was perfect for our 1 night stay. Instructions and clear information were sent through the day before arrival.

The caravan park is a real maze... So easy to get lost without any signposts , but that may just have been us lol. Nothing at all against this property.

Price good and location good

- Smell bad bed it not fresh - sofa it look horrible - cooked seem not safe - freezer alway stuck the not properly shut door

What a lovely break. The caravan was so comfortable and cosy. Situated in a nice quiet spot. Amy our host was really quick and efficient with email response. The caravan is a credit to her and would highly recommend, so much so, we have re-booked as we did not want to come home. Amazing xx

Quietness of accommodation

Great location close to town centre 5minute walk to the beach park arcade and soft play centre and bar for food. 10minute drive to the waterfall, and the caravan was tucked away in the corner which was really nice and quiet and had parking next to the caravan
