Lake District Woodland Pods - Winster, Bowness-on-Windermere

The location is great, it isn’t walking distance to any shops or bars (apart from the pub on site) but Windermere is a 5-7 minutes drive and there are walks on the door step (didn’t try these as the weather was awful) I liked that it was dog friendly and they also go the extra mile with a dog towel, treats, toy and dog bowls.

There was no oven or hob in the cabin. I feel like this would be useful so you can make your own cooked breakfast or dinner but it didn’t ruin it, just something I would find useful.

The lodge was excellent, clean, comfortable, very modern and had all the necessities for the visit. We stayed for two nights and as a couple looking for a nice relaxing break it was perfect. The onsite brown horse inn was great, lovely food, lovely staff. Location was a 5 minute drive from Bowness Town centre.

I have had a lovely stay . Pod is very clean , got everything you need minus a hob to cook. A plug in hob would make the pod perfect , it was the only downfall for me. The place is beautiful , so quiet and peaceful, exactly what I needed 10/10 I enjoyed a lovely walk Saturday morning just at the door step of the site , with directions on a leftet provided at the pod. Beautiful scenery , such a fresh , peaceful walk The Brown Horse Inn onsite was lovely. I'd recommend booking as I just turned up lastnight and it was booked up . That being said the male bar tender gave me a reserved table that wasn't needed for 1hr, much appreciated. My drink was served to me at the table , the same bar tender took my food order aswel. Food came out in 10mins max . Very good service , lovely burger and nice cold pint 10/10 👌

No hob in pod to cook with , just a microwave

The only thing missing was a hot tub otherwise the place would be a 10/10
