2 bedroom house walking distance to city centre WITH FREE PARKING

The property was lovely and very clean, wow the shower was the best, had a great sleep, very comfortable beds with fluffy pillows, the location was the best, about a 20min walk to the centre and it was a lovely walk, overall had a great stay, just wish we stayed longer, would definitely stay again

Great location. Very clean and well equipped. The beds were super comfy.

The property was immaculate. Spotlessly clean and newly furnished. It was very comfortable for the two of us. It’s not a large house but spacious enough and very well planned Cosy lounge dining room, well fitted kitchen with all necessary facilities, two beautifully furnished bedrooms with very comfortable beds. We had everything we we needed and spent two comfortable nights. Communication with Alex was excellent. The property is approximately 20 minutes from the station. We arrived by train and walked it. On reflection we should have taken the time to check out the bus route. It started raining so it wasn’t the best for walking. On departure we took the bus back to the station, left our luggage at the storage opposite the station and walked back into the city to visit the Jorvik centre before we left. We enjoyed our stay even though York was exceptionally busy due to the Viking festival which was very entertaining. Thank you Alex for being an excellent host. Best wishes Ann and Les

Spotless and comfortable

Central location. Good parking and access. Very clean property. Communication was good.

We did not like that we were advised not to put the heating above 20 degrees. We feel the cold so that was not good. There was mentioned in the book at the home that we should use the recycle bin, but it was full and there was not a second bin inside the house to put recycle. Internet was very slow and had to restart router more than once. Does not appear home is lived in by owner, so no personal touches and appreciation. Beds were hard but some people like that.

Lovely location. Close to York and local amenities. Walking distance to city walls and the Barbican. Very clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms are large. Large easily accessible parking space included which is a godsend in York.

The step in the back garden was loose and moved when stepped on. This was concerning for my mother to walk down because it made it tricky to use with no handrail. Otherwise the house was perfect.

Location and it was spotless clean.

Kitchen door needs door wedge to keep it open for ease of access when moving food etc into the dinning area.

Location was great as it was easy to walk into the main city centre. The clincher for us was the guaranteed parking space. Location was also quiet and beds were comfortable. Also quite clean and well presented.

Only a few very minor issues such as kitchen door squeaked loudly when closing, fridge had not been wiped down, freezer didn't have ice cube tray, and back step slab loose. But we emphasize these were minor issues and are given for info for improvement.

There was everything we needed for a lovely relaxing weekend walking distance to pubs for evening meals and a short walk into york centre.
