Upper Gelli Luxury Holiday Lodge, Converted Dairy & Cosy Shepherds Huts

Absolutely everything. Firstly we’ve never been more warmly welcomed to a property as we were at the lodge. Bryn and Annalise are exceptional hosts, who showed us around their beautiful and very well appointed lodge. They also left a hamper of food and local specialities for us, which was a very kind touch. The property is situated in a very scenic and quiet valley, surrounded by fields and trees. Sitting out on the deck or in the immaculate hot tub was a real peaceful experience. The lodge is very spacious, with an excellent kitchen that has everything you could possibly need for cooking. The bedrooms are also large and the beds are very comfy. Overall the cleanliness was top notch and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Our reason for staying there was to attend a wedding, when asking Bryn for taxi advice, he said if we struggled getting one he would gladly drop us off and pick us up if needed, a perfect example of how these hosts going above and beyond for their guests. I also forgot my cufflinks and only realised on the day of the wedding, however our hosts again helped by inviting us up to the main house for a drink and to pass over some cufflinks before the wedding ceremony :) Highly recommend staying here!

Zero, there is nothing to dislike.

Great location, very peaceful and exactly how you’d want it to be. Owner was very polite and helpful with information on the general area. Cannot fault this property. We went to various waterfalls in the area which were gorgeous. A truly amazing experience.

We had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed all the lovely details within the lodge, everything was decorated with so much love and it is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy fantastic views. Bryn and his sweet dogs gave us a warm welcome. We highly recommend the lodge and are happy to be coming back to this wonderful place soon. The lodge was perfect for our dog as well, everything is fenced and dog proof, so not only a wonderful place for people, but also for dogs :)

Lovely and clean and excellent views and peace and quiet …. Bryn and wife where perfect hosts a bottle as arrived and a local basket of goodies were spot on even decorated for our anniversary surprise …. Dog friendly too ours loved it many thanks

Nothing at all

The location of the Shepherd's huts overlooked the sweeping landscape with only wildlife for the company. There is no white noise from traffic. Amazing. Hosts were on hand, but only if you needed them. The surprise hamper was a lovely gesture. Accommodation was spotless. We loved our weekend away and honestly did not want to leave this beautiful place. The owners have worked extremely hard to achieve what they have with all of their accommodation onsite. We will definitely return, and we don't normally say that.

We loved everything about this place.

The view from the hot tub was very nice, especially in the evening when the sun was setting. Really quiet and clean too.

We were provided with some local produce on arrival that served as a lovely breakfast! Beautiful local fresh bread, eggs, jam and fresh milk! So yummy and also such a lovely bonus. We were also given a bottle of lovely prosecco as we were returning guests! We were made to feel so welcome and it was so peaceful. We would have loved to have booked a week there. Really cannot fault it in anyway

The only thing we could possibly think of is if the jacuzzi had had been able to be on the balcony haha! But it was still in such a lovely place and under a nice canopy which meant we could use it in all weather!

There was nothing not to like! Everything was perfect from the welcome hamper and fresh produce, to the stunning views from the hot tub. Bryn and Annelise were exceptional hosts and so helpful nothing was too much to ask.

Really enjoyed our stay such a relaxing tranquil location. Accommodation and facilities are excellent. The little extras that were provided by Bryn & Annelise made our little trip even better. Lucky with the weather and managed to watch the fabulous sunset from the hot tub.
