Upper Gelli Luxury Holiday Lodge, Converted Dairy & Cosy Shepherds Huts

Upper Gelli deserves 5 stars and more! We chose Upper Gelli for a getaway to recharge and celebrate my partner's birthday, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the start, Bryn and Annelise were incredibly accommodating. They sent us a WhatsApp message before our stay with recommendations for local dining, tourist attractions, and everything we needed to know. After I mentioned it was my partner's birthday, they went above and beyond by decorating the space with banners and balloons—a lovely touch that we truly appreciated. 😊 Upon arrival, the exceptional service continued. Bryn greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of the house, and explained how to use the hot tub and sauna. This thoughtful introduction allowed us to settle in and relax right away—a perfect start to our stay! The house itself is wonderful. The decor is modern yet cosy, and it comes fully equipped with everything you could need—robes, slippers, indoor and outdoor kitchenware, towels, extra blankets, and more. On a rainy afternoon, we took full advantage of the board games provided (and even added our own to the collection 😊). The views are spectacular, especially with the bifold doors that open up to bring the outside in. We were fortunate to have some sunny weather, and enjoyed morning coffee with the doors open, soaking in the beautiful scenery. It was just wonderful! We also spent a morning exploring the local town of Welshpool, where we stumbled upon a lovely bakery. While we had plans to visit a recommended castle, the weather didn’t cooperate—so we’re saving that for our next visit. And without a doubt, when we return, we will be staying at Upper Gelli again. Bryn, Annelise, and their incredible property are an absolute must-stay! We look forward to coming back! Thank you so much,

It was self catering although our hosts left us a welcome gift of homage produce ,bread butter Welsh cakes and jam.

There was nothing that could have been better its a fantastic pplace loved it very beautiful 😍

The location and standard of accommodation was outstanding and the hosts made us feel super welcome.

The relax peaceful and tranquil setting was excellent. So private, yet we could venture out if we wanted to visit the beautiful surroundings. Annalise and Bryn were excellent hosts and made our experience very special with an essential food basket and welcoming on arrival.

We loved every minute we were there and would definitely return again.

This little cottage got my heart!!! welcoming and peaceful place surrounded by nature with a view of the hills from which you can admire a wonderful sunset!!! the room, kitchen and bathroom well furnished with everything you need!! the spectacular hot tub! My partner and I had a wonderful time! the owners Annelise & Bryn welcomed us with so much love!! a nice experience! we will definitely be back!

Loved the location and the hosts! Hot tub and sauna were so nice. We are recently married and the hosts put in lots of touches including some lovely just married decorations - we really cannot thank them enough for the effort they put in to make our time away special.
