Cat Ba Green Pearl Hotel

This palace is fantastically located, right at the center of all action! Location – Plenty of restaurants, travel agencies, bars, local shopping and grocery stores! You couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s absolutely fantastic! Arrival - Tony arrived to greet me. He was very professional, friendly & gave crystal clear instructions and he offered assistance whenever I needed it which was fantastic. Express check in and even had the choice to change the room to a more quieter one, away from the street. How so very kind!! The room – Spacious, immaculate and comfortable. Price - Excellent value for money. Service - Exceptional. Tony was there for me, responding to all queries and even booked me a night kayaking tour and arranged my transportation to Nin Bin last minute which was fantastic. The limousine was absolutely WONDERFUL. Check out - Very easy, smooth as butter. It’s a family business but for Tony to be that involved and dedicated as the body and soul of the place shows his passion for hospitality. He has raised standards to greater levels as he sets the bar high for himself & others and I’m sure everyone who meets him will comprehend and appreciated his efforts. I mean, the guy sleeps at the lobby at 4am waiting for arrivals. How dedicated is that?? THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for making my stay exceptional! I will be back some day! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It’s ratings are very well justified in every level and worth every penny!!

His indian guests. Very noisy, TOTALLY mannerless, weird and very disrespectful. Tony was so patient and professional with them, but I watched them so rude and demanding to him and his mother, it really broke my heart. They were literally just shouting, barking orders left right and centre with one of them trying to enter his kitchen to demand watermelons. Really, irritating guests, causing a nuisance to the rest of us trying to enjoy our delicious breakfast. Also I regret staying just two nights. Should have been more so I'll be back again.

Tony, the host, was super helpful! He had so much useful information about Cat Ba and was great at organizing tours, which made it easy to plan our own day on the island. The location is perfect - not right in the center, so it's nice and quiet, but it only takes 5 minutes to get to the heart of Cat Ba. The hotel was very clean, with quick and efficient housekeeping. Breakfast was great, too

Staying at Cat Ba Green Pearl Hotel was an absolute pleasure. Tony is probably the best host you could ask for—he helped us with everything, from reaching Cat Ba to upgrading us to a street-view room. His food recommendations were incredible! You can tell the property is run by people deeply connected to the island, which is always a plus. The beds were comfortable, the room was huge, and there was always free coffee and tea available. They also organize excursions, and while I didn’t book any, I’m sure they are handled promptly, with your safety and comfort in mind—just like everything else here

The hotel staff were very nice and provided free water bottles daily—he did this happily without any fuss. Breakfast was quite filling, with large pancakes and a variety of options for both food and drinks. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean with all the necessary amenities. Towels were replaced if you used more than two. Overall, it’s great value for the price

Nice, new, and quiet hotel room with all the necessary amenities. It's not overly luxurious, but it’s bright and comfortable, located in a good, quiet area within walking distance to everything in town. Tony, the receptionist, was super nice and always helpful; he arranged transportation to and from the hotel for me. I appreciated the hot water shower and the daily refreshing of towels and water. Breakfast was basic but good, offering your choice of bread or pancakes, fruit, and tea/coffee or juice. An additional bonus was the water refill free in the lobby.

I think this place is quite good for the price. The location is perfect for exploring the island, and you can rent a motorcycle directly from them. The room quality is excellent—clean, new, and decorated in a minimalist style that creates a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, you are very close to restaurants and shops. The staff are incredibly kind and eager to help with whatever they can. Even on my last day, when I needed to leave very early in the morning and mentioned I would skip breakfast, they prepared a great vegetarian sandwich for my upcoming trip

Excellent location, wonderful staff, and a beautiful hotel. The room was spotless, cleaned quickly, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. There was a small desk in the room, which was perfect for remote work. They kindly upgraded my room free of charge and organized various trips to Ha Long Bay and other beautiful spots. A big thanks to the manager, Tony, for his exceptional hospitality and help with visa support and any requests we had.

We’re so happy we chose Green Pearl Hotel. It was actually a highlight of our stay on Cat Ba Island, especially since the weather was really bad. The hotel is a family business, almost entirely run by Tony, whose main goal is to make his guests happy and ensure they get the best out of their time in Cat Ba. He does a fantastic job organizing tours, transportation, and offering local tips. The hotel is very clean, with daily housekeeping, and the shower gel smells great. The room was not damp at all and felt fresh. It’s located in a calm area just 5 minutes' walk from the main street

Perfect location in Cat Ba, just a 5-minute walk over the bridge into the center. The hotel offers beautiful views overlooking the street—it looks lively but isn’t noisy at all. Tony was very friendly and helpful, booking our Ha Long Bay tour effortlessly and providing us with great recommendations on things to do and where to eat while in Cat Ba. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and they even offered free water refills for our bottles.
