Parkside Lodge - Luxury Coastal Hideaway for Two

Brixham wählten wir als Zwischenstopp von Cornwall auf unsere Reise Richtung Osten. In Brixham selbst kann man einiges Erleben und Bestaunen., Bei einer kleinen Küstenwanderung hat man gute Aussichten, Robben zu beobachten. Aber auch in der Umgebung ist eines zu erkunden (Handelsstadt Totnes, Burgh Island und Greenway [Agatha Christie Fans wissen da schon Bescheid 😉]). Jetzt zum Quartier Die Lage ist perfekt. Man ist in ca. 10 Gehminuten unten am Hafen oder an einem der zahlreichen Pubs. Das Quartier selbst ist tatsächlich luxuriös. Modernste Technik in der Küche, stilvolle Einrichtung, witzige Accessoires und liebevolle Details sind hier enthalten. Klasse ist auch der große begehbare Kleidungsschrank. Es gibt auch eine große TV-Ecke mit entsprechend großem TV. Das Bad ist geräumig und auch die Dusche ist detailverliebt gestaltet. Die Schlüsselübergabe war einfach durch den Schlüsselsafe. Der Parkplatz befindet sich direkt vor dem Haus - besser geht es nicht. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Außenbereich mit Teich und Liegestühlen. Wir hatten leider nur nicht die Zeit, dies zu genießen. Wer einen Trip nach Brixham plant, ist dem Quartier hier gut aufgehoben.

von unserer Seite gibt es nichts zu meckern. nur zur Berücksichtigung - in Brixham geht es bergauf und -ab. Auch zum Quartier muss man einige Meter nach unten über Treppe zurücklegen. Wer das Museumsschiff im Hafen berücksichtigen will - geht nicht zu spät. Es wird relativ früh geschlossen.

48 steep steps to reach entry. No hand rail. Heating controlled by owner, No heating at all in shower room .

No control over heating, cold and damp bathroom, damp and dark walk in wardrobe, dangerous outside steps, 45 steps but no handrails, no dining table, only a small breakfast bar facing the wall.

Stayed here for Brixham Pirate festival and we were lucky to get the reservation last minute. Perfectly situated in a quieter area, away from the chaos of the festival. Beautiful decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The honesty system for drinks offered was a unique touch, which we liked. Slept like a log for the two nights. Enjoyed the cinema room and cooking around the open plan breakfast bar was a treat. Hosts were really friendly and accommodating. We were left to our own devices for the duration of our stay, but communication with them was fantastic. Couldn’t fault a single thing!

Nothing not to like, it was fabulous.

Spacious (a lot more than it looked in the pictures), well designed, beautiful apartment, really well done and absolutely loved the TV area!
