Burt's Hotel

The breakfast was the best I have ever had- delicious porridge, fruit and fresh croissants. All waited upon, no scrum round a central table - VERY important! Room a bit snug but everything you needed like hospitality tray and good lighting to read in bed, plenty of pillows. delightful sitting room next door for relaxing and reading. Good lighting in the shower room for doing make up etc.

Nice ambience, excellent breakfast, and surprisingly nice garden area with beautiful flowers. Always a sign of a well run establishment.

Breakfast was very nice , served quickly by friendly and polite staff.

We loved the central location of the hotel, the warm ambience as soon as you stepped in the door, and the cheerfulness of the staff.

Breakfast was super and the breakfast staff were excellent .

We booked a table for 11 of us and when we arrived they put us on two separate round tables Which we asked if they could move them together and they said no! The dining area was almost empty so we couldn’t see what the problem was apart from pure laziness the waitress was applauding she looked like she didn’t want to be there and made what should have been a great night into a terrible night

Excellent breakfast. Central location in Melrose. Car parking. Restaurant is very good indeed.
