Le Journey Elegance Cruise

The room was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful . Lots of food, probably too much! Cooking class was fun. There were various activities to partake of.

The advertised wifi in all areas was wrong. It only worked when the boat was stopped, understandably. But even then, it only occasionally worked on the upstairs deck, and nowhere else.

Beautiful to see Halong Bay. Great cabins, especially bathrooms

Was a little difficult to process payment by credit card which surprised me. Was also swapped into a Calypso Cruise at last moment but the facilities and activities were the same.

The scenery was incredible

The2 night one was too long as you just repeated activities. I think a day cruise would be ample. The boat although 5 stars was nice but had its issues. Overall we had a nice cruise if you can look past a few hiccups. The meals were fantastic and the staff were nice although the Tai Chi class was very basic and didn't run the second day ad it was raining although there was ample space undercover he was tired and didn't try to accommodate it which was disappointing.

Was a really warm welcoming environment

The crew was fantastic — genuinely kind, attentive, and professional throughout the journey. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, with hotel-level comfort and beautiful views from the private balcony. Buffet lunch was delicious, fresh, and varied. The à la carte dinner, however, was less impressive — not bad, but a bit underwhelming in comparison (just an honest observation).

While the scenery is truly stunning, the overall experience was not as smooth as expected. Be prepared to spend a significant amount of time on transfers and luggage logistics. Upon arrival, instead of checking directly into the cabin, you spend about an hour waiting onshore for the small boat transfer, followed by another hour being ferried to the actual cruise ship. Only after this process does lunch and the kayaking activity begin. In the morning, you won’t have time to relax — guests are required to check out of their cabins by 9:00 AM so staff can prepare for the next group. If you are booking a 1-night cruise, realistically plan for 2.5 hours each way spent on transfers and waiting after arriving at Halong Bay. the “1 night” cruise includes a lot of logistical downtime.

The room are beautiful and the crew is very nice and dedicated to make this experience unforgettable
