Lots of fun and a great experience, felt a little rushed on day two. Staff were friendly

It was an exceptional experience with a really good crew who went the extra mile to look after us. The food and boat were fantastic.

Nothing

We loved everything. We stayed in a suite and it was incredible, glass windows all around to give us such a beautiful view. A large and spacious balcony. Also the bath/jucuzzi was was to die for!! The team went above and beyond to make our stay magical. The manager noticed it was my birthday without me mentioning it, and arranged for our room to be decorated with petals and towel decoration art and also a birthday cake after dinner where everyone on board sang happy birthday. We loved the activities especially the kayaking, we went through the caves and all around and it was great! All together it was a trip of a lifetime, well organised, staff were exceptional & the food was delicious!! I wished we booked the 2 night package not just the one night as would have liked more time!

The only downside was getting woken up by the boat engine starting up early but that can’t be avoided. I think our room was right above the engine. But least it meant we was up early for the morning activities.

The boat was amazing, clean and with great facilities. I would recommend the 2 night cruise because the activities included on the cruise were great. Tony D and all the staff were so beautiful! They truely went above and beyond to make our experience incredible.

Nothing it was great

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on this Halong Bay cruise. From start to finish, everything was perfect — the itinerary, the food, the breathtaking views, and most of all, the incredible staff who made the trip so special. A huge shoutout to Tony, the cruise manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. His professionalism, kindness, and sense of humor really stood out. The entire crew deserves the highest praise — they were patient, friendly, and genuinely attentive to every detail. I have to say, not all guests made it easy (some were truly testing the limits of hospitality), but the staff handled every situation with the utmost grace and patience. It was honestly impressive to watch — a real masterclass in customer service. If you’re considering a Halong Bay cruise, this is the one to book. Thank you, Tony and team, for an incredible trip!

The obnoxiousness of other guests who made it difficult for the staff

The cruise manager were absolutely fantastic! The rest of the staff were friendly and efficient. I want to say that Mr Leon who managed our cruise were so informative and really looked after us and did a very good job.The food especially the lunch were very good.

Actually there is nothing that wasn't good

The boat was lovely and clean. The scenery was amazing. The staff were excellent. Delicious food. Plenty to choose from. Excellent service all round. Everything was great. Friendly staff. Great service. Perfect.

Would have liked some music for dancing and karaoke for fun atmosphere and guests participation.

Can’t beat the view and enjoyed the French inspired decor.

There was damaged floorboard in our room which presented as a potential hazard. The lights did not work.

Halong Bay is breathtaking — but this tour is a scam-laden, mismanaged experience that turns beauty into frustration. Stay far away.

The journey starts at 07:40 from Hanoi and reaches Halong Bay by 11:30. On the way, you’re forced into a blatant tourist trap — a so-called “toilet break” that’s nothing more than a 30-minute scam stop. Completely unnecessary and wastes your time. Upon arrival, the chaos continues. You’re told to wait 45 minutes, which turns into over an hour. Then you’re crammed into a boat for yet another 50-minute transfer just to reach the main boat. Once onboard, don’t expect any clear information. The itinerary is barked at you — loud, rushed, and without any visuals or effort to help you understand the day’s plan. No images, no briefings, just shouting. If you’re lucky, you might settle in by 2 PM. Menus are priced in US dollars, which feels deliberately misleading and inauthentic. Meals were decent, but even basic water isn’t included — everything is extra. The biggest failure? Internet access. I only had signal 10% of the time. When I asked about it, I was blamed by a staff member for not buying an internet package. Another even questioned why I needed internet at all — a shockingly dismissive attitude for a service that advertises onboard wifi. To make matters worse, staff behavior was blatantly discriminatory. The crew, especially the man making announcements, blatantly favored certain guests — chatting, drinking, and even partying with them — while ignoring others. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Cleanliness was average. Some teacups had lipstick stains. Showers were moldy or dirty. No in-room kettle — just tea and coffee sachets mocking you. You’re expected to chase someone down at the coffee bar just to get hot water, if you’re lucky to find them there. To top it off, I was offered a refund in exchange for changing my review. But no amount of money can restore a ruined dream trip.
