I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fun Retreat Resort and wanted to share my fantastic experience. The resort offered a perfect blend of relaxation, wellness, and family-friendly activities. The facility has many play and fun options for kids. They allowed us to take away some breakfast. This was quite unique and a pleasant surprise.

The food. Especially pizza. Even my 6yr old couldn’t eat it and it’s usually her favorite. On one of the rooms the water after showering was not getting drained, so we all had to shower in one room. We honestly didn’t even bother reporting this because when we checked in the TV had no signal and we only got it fixed 24hrs later despite several reminders to the staff. So we figured by the time the shower got fixed we would be on our way out anyway. Wifi kept going off on some devices so we had to keep going to the reception for that.

The children's facilities are great, they have many different types of activities for children. The water park was particularly fun and well maintained.

The customer services is below the standards for the price for places in arusha. The hotel hires causal workers so often times the waiters are not trained and make several mistakes. The food was also way below the standards for arusha. Very basic breakfast and underwhelming lunch and dinner. You're better off eating outside of the hotel if you plan to stay there.

Nice swimming pool. Nice nature garden.

The tents are dated, dirty and at night all kinds of insects and snails enter the room. No mosquito nets are provided while mosquitoes are plentiful. Then the matrasses provided are like concrete and cause back pains. Some playing ground and swimming pool equipments are broken so could cause injuries. Then the restaurant was a horrible experience. The cook couldn't even bake an egg in the morning. During lunch and dinner service most food on the menu not available and the food ordered was bad. For example ordering quality sirloin steak was like chewing gum, the Chinese food with chilli had no chilli and tasted lame. The Indian food was not spicy. Grilled chicken was not grilled but deep-fried. When ordering white wine they give you red. The staff is young and without any experience, no proper management to educate and manage them. When talking to staff they show they are underpaid and pressurised by owner. In short horrible experience.

Amazing place at great rates.

Great service from staff Our first room had a funny smell and some dirty marks on bedsheets/pillows but they quickly found us another room that was fully clean. Food was generally good.

Pools were very dirty, we didn't go in the water. The place has the potential to be really good and very nice but lacking the finishing touches. Breakfast wasn't great.
