"An absolute delight."

9.0

The apartment has an excellent location with very generous sized rooms for a couple. We were able to step out and be anywhere in Georgian Bath in a few minutes.

Nothing of note. Perhaps a little TLC to repair the toilet roll holder and tidy up the wooden edging to the shower but this did not impact on our enjoyment of the apartment.

"Cute and centric place"

8.0

The place was in the heart of downtown, close to everything, and a cute place with all amenities

The place took a long while to heat up, it was a bit cold in there even in not so cold days.

"Not good value - place needs full update"

5.0

Flat tired. Lounge heater didn't work. Bathroom radiator didn't work so difficult to dry towels. Bed uncomfortable. Badly designed- had to squeeze past the fireplace to get into bed. Fridge missing several shelves. Small dishwasher needed salt and rinseaid. Toilet roll secured by bulldog clip in holder.

"Darcy’s View is a little Gem and would love to stay here again ❤️"

9.0

Lovely apartment with excellent furnishings and equipment, it was quite but accessible to the centre of Bath easily walked in 10 minutes. Also its location to the Royal Cresent and Victoria Park brilliant

I did find the bed quite firm to hard, perhaps a mattress topper would be better, also the bathroom is small with nowhere to put toiletries, perhaps a little corner shelf or below sink racking.

"Passable"

5.0

Acceptable distance from town centre

Poor property management regarding cleanliness, property ambiance , coziness and heating. The property wasn't tidy ,you could see marks on the tables ,mirrors ,toilet . The smelly odor inside once I arrived was awful. In their description don't mention below there is a restaurant. All the smell is coming from the restaurant, noise, fights ,and music during the night. As a guest I didn't feel welcomed at all , on the contrary I felt I am on duty because they have had a lot of requirements before you checked out . I never heard in any country I travelled to be asked to take all the linen of the bed and deposited them in the bathroom, put the dish washer on ,make sure you don't leave as a guest too much rubbish and the list goes on . Overall the property should lower their price or improve their service.

"A gem in Bath"

8.0

A gem of a find for our family of 6. We had our four boys stay on the sofa beds. The beds had nicely been arranged prior to our arrival, so no faffing around with making up sofa beds, etc. Of course, this did limit us a little to sit together in the lounge, but the dining area with 6 tall bar chairs made up for that. Beautiful decor completed to a high standard throughout. We particularly fell in love with the kitchen. I'd have given an additional star if a decent coffee machine was added, but in fairness, the hosts offered complimentary teas, coffees, and hot chocolates. Additionally, a nice touch on the delicious choice of french biscuits. Nice comfy bedding and sheets. And a great location to easily get around Bath. We took the coach in from London and dragged our wheely bags uphill for 15 minutes when we first got in. After that, it was a total breeze getting around on our legs everywhere. The house was so elegant, that I'd go as far as saying that we were all just happy to remain indoors in each others company. I'd come back again and would recommend Darcys View despite my few negatives. Thought they were worth listing as think they can easily be changed.

1. Noise from downstairs restaurant and occasional drunks wondering the street. 2. You'll need to sit directly in front of the TV (in the main bedroom) to get it to turn on, or change channels, etc. Odd set up. 3. The shower. The dreaded shower that everyone feared during our stay. Felt lovely to be under when warm, but my God, it would freeze over suddenly and leave you helpless with soapy hair and a frosty chill. 4. A painfully temperamental cooker. One hob would work, then stop all together with no hope of coming back on. Another one might work in it's place but was a game of roulette with it. Frustrating when feeding 6 hungry mouths. 5. The faceless hosts. This may work for some people, but I'm a tad more personal. Although the hosts promptly responded to any/all questions, not signing off with a name left me feeling like I could have been speaking with a bot.
