The staff was extremely irresponsible. I paid the hotel charges in advance and informed the receptionist that I would be arriving late as I was traveling from London. Despite this, when I reached the hotel at 10:45 PM, no staff member was present. I repeatedly called the hotel, but no one answered my calls.

We had a very warm welcome, on arrival, at this lovely Country Inn. The location, not far off the M6, was just what we needed to break our journey, travelling from South West Germany to Perthshure in Scotland.. Can highly recommend!

The location for us was good it was on the way to a walk we were doing the morning after.

On arrival the local power was out, so we had no electricity, hot water, the kitchen had closed and of course no internet. We had to go 20 minutes down the road in to the next village to get food and wait till morning to charge our devices and shower etc. Afterwards the hotel after several weeks of ignoring any communication offered 10% on a future booking which I explained was very unlikely to be used given i am 3,5 hours away. They offered no compensation for our stay on the night for all the inconveniences we had, as I expressed the power cut wasn’t their fault but it certainly wasn’t ours and the room should not be charged at full price. Very poor handling after the stay given the staff on the night said we would be sorted out afterwards.
