"Very clean and attractive property in a great location ."

Great location - ideal for shopping village ( the purpose of our trip ) but also convenient for local amenities. Ideal base to travel a little further afield and see the wider area

"Great location. disappointed with cottage"

6.0

the location was excellent

The cottage was very tired and needed a lot of work done . Don't think a cleaner had been. The bathroom was quite dirty with mold on the tiles and the shower dribbled out water. also lots of dust and cobwebs behind curtains .

"Comfy, but could be cleaner"

7.0

The cottage is in a central location and is comfortable, particularly the bed in the front bedroom. The owner responds quickly to questions, and offers helpful replies.

The cottage could have been cleaner. There was what appeared to be blood in two spots on the bathroom wall when we arrived, for example, and that was quite off-putting. With regards to parking: I thought from the description that it was available at the property, or directly in front of it. I had seen that there was "free parking" mentioned, and then under the FAQs it simply says: "Free parking is available at Charming 2BR Cottage Retreat in the Centre of Bicester." - so I assumed incorrectly that this meant there was parking at the cottage itself, not a street away (this was actually no problem - I just didn't know until I got there!). I received a message from the owner explaining about the parking situation on the day we were arriving, but I was already on the road driving there, so I didn't read it before arriving - then we arrived to find the parking outside requires a resident permit in daytime hours. I asked a neighbour who explained where we could park. Later I spotted the message from the property owner, which provided the information about where we could park and walk. It is really close by, and no big deal, as you can drop your bags at the house quickly, then go and park nearby -- but this information would just have been useful to receive earlier rather than after arrival.

"Great location"

7.0

The location is great! Close to the town centre and Bicester Village.

The outdoor decking was so rotten it was unsafe to step on and many parts were broken through. As you had to stand on it to get to the rest of the garden it made it made difficult to use the outside space safely. The owner did mention they had experienced some damage before our stay but they did not say how bad it actually was. There were a few areas in the house that were either not cleaned or not cleaned properly. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom either.

"Lovely, cute cottage. Alison was a great and friendly communicator too!"

10.0

The property was very cute, clean and wonderfully decorated inside. It was also a perfect distance to everywhere we needed to visit over the weekend we were in Bicester.
