Lilywood Cottage - 2BR Central Bicester

De ligging is centraal als je graag Oxford wilt bezoeken en de outlet center van Bicester is op loopafstand. Wij hebben ook Birmingham bezocht. Leuke cottage, Echt Engels. Fijne gastvrouw! Reageert snel op mail wat erg prettig is.

De bedden zijn wel klein voor 2 volwassene.

Cute cottage in central location

The Courtyard garden was very overgrown and scruffy

Lilywood cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a good range of store cupboard items included. It has very thick stone walls which meant it stayed fairly cool even during hot weather. I didn't have an issue with parking around the corner - it's no further than walking across a large car park. The cottage is well located for the town centre (but away from late night noise) and an easy walk to the station for trains to Oxford. Decent sized living room to relax in, smells of old smoke from the fire (not to my liking) and the TV is too small. It's nice to have a bit of outside space and a reason for booking, an outside light would be good. Luckily I had brought my own.

The cottage needs some TLC. The freezer is heavily iced up. The windows are dirty on the outside, the front door has peeling paint and the display in the planters is dead. The garden at the back is unkempt and has thorny plants growing towards the seating area. There's also an old bench by the wall that fortunatly I spotted had rotted through before sitting on it. I found the beds uncomfortable leaving me with a sore back in the morning. I appreciate that others find the decor charming, to me there is an excess of fake plants, stopped clocks and old baskets.

It was a lovely cottage very clean equipped with everything you need .beds were very comfy I enjoyed my stay I would well recommend this place for peaceful time retreat with family.

The location was excellent for Bicester Village which was the purpose of our trip.

Good communication with property owner. Quaint cottage. Nice interiors and furnishings.

The bed in the second bedroom uncomfortable. Mattress needs replacing. Noisy construction site works at property next door. Commencing at 7am. Outside of property felt unkempt. Loo roll supply! Raised the issues with the owner after our stay, who promptly responded and gave apologies. We are confident that these issues would be rectified in the future.
