The Bell Inn

The host was great. He brought us to our room and gave us some good information about the area.

The location is confusing because the address in Google is the same as The Old Mill. Parking is across a busy road. The door to our room was hard to open and close.

The atmosphere in the pub was most enjoyable. Food was top class. David could not help enough and he and his wife were always up for a chat. A most enjoyable stay.

Host was really approachable friendly and helpful. Pub and rooms were immaculately clean and the food cooked by the host was absolutely delicious and great value. Gorgeous traditional pub with outstanding view at the front.secure parking and situated close to Salisbury stonehenge and other beautiful vistas.

Room cramped and dated. Owner turned off room fan and light when we were not in our room. Closes at 8.30pm.

You have asked me three times to review and not taken the hint that I would have preferred not to. I made the reservation and within hours I got a long email telling me how not to end up locked in the car park and unable to get out. The message talked about breakfast being left in the fridge all night - how tasty. We passed the pub earlier than the time we could have booked in, intending to come back later. Outside the pub was a large home-made sign pronouncing that the place was 'CLOSED'. All in all this seems to be a 'doing-it-up' situation by amateurs needing money as they go. We decided that we didn't want to stay there and carried on driving. For more than £110 for the night this was very poor value. Oh, and the breakfast was going to be extra!

The food was excellent. Some unusual items on the menu which was nice to see. The room was clean and adequate.

The accessible room was rather cramped, and the step into it made it quite tricky. The road from the car park to pub was extremely difficult to cross especially for my wife who has mobility issues.
