Kind people always trying to offer something extra from welcome juice to complementary tea. Food is super delicious. Specially Pol Roti. Reasonable price, felt like home and something more than money. Very specious property all in one, from kitchen to living room to comfortable bedroom and very clean washer room. More than everything they respect privacy and always with a warm smile. Soo excited to come back. Hiriketiya beach and Nilwella beach are close by. Walking distance. We highly recommend it. One the best stays we ever had. Try it you will never be disappointed.

AMAZING PLACE!! The host family is so welcoming and helpful! they even went to the hospital with me because i stepped on a sea urchin to make sure i got the best treatment. Please do not hesitate with booking this place. The apartment has everything you need and the coolest balcony where you can enjoy your delicious breakfast and watch monkeys play in the forrest

Absolutely beautiful stay here - this is an apartment with balcony, sitting room and really nice bedroom - the bed was so comfortable and the fan was great ! a short walk into town and close to beaches, you could walk or use a scooter if you had one. Vinus family were incredibly friendly and gave us a really nice lemon drink when we arrived and also provided soup in the evening and a really lovely breakfast! Would stay again :)

We had the best stay that we've had in Sri Lanka, here at Vinu's Place! Please, please stay here if you're planning on visiting Hiriketiya/Dickwella! I can't begin to explain how lovely Vinu & her family are. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel completely part of the family, it truly was like being with family for a week. Every day we were made the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts that were delivered with huge smiles & greetings (the breakfasts were so much better than any other homestay we've been to previous. They really make the extra effort here!) The space itself is amazing, you have a spacious bedroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, bathroom & wrap around balcony all to yourself (for the same price as most other places where you just have a room!) The place is so clean and comfortable it really feels like home. Our favourite thing to do was sit out on the balcony for breakfasts/dinners & every day you get to see an array of wildlife (monkeys, peacocks, birds etc). If we needed anything, Vinu & her family made sure we had it, they even brought us complimentary juices on hot days & almost every day brought us complimentary tea/coffee in the afternoon. They go out of their way to give you the best, most enjoyable experience here whilst also respecting your privacy & giving you your own space. Thr location is great as it's far enough out of the main beach area to enjoy the quiet, peacefulness of the jungle but close enough to walk in (5-10 minute walk into Hiriketiya town/beach area & about 25-30 minute walk or short tuk tuk ride into Dickwella) we absolutely loved our stay here. We miss them already!

everything was perfect from the morning with the bird fields to the afternoon seeing the monkeys having fun in front of the balcony ❣️ the family is great and the breakfast so good and plentiful I highly recommend having a scooter is a plus

We cannot describe how much we loved this place. The hospitality of Vinu and all family members was extraordinary. We have been traveling for 6 months and this has been the best place of them all. Everyday we were excited for breakfast as there was always a new delicious creation to enjoy. Also gluten-free, spice free, lactose free food and drinks were all possible. The bed was the best mattress we have had since our travelling. The view from the balcony is very calming, and the area of the house is peaceful while very close by the main beach. For the meditators under us: the house is next to a bodhi tree and temple🤩🙏✨. Thank you so much for the experience, we really felt at home and enjoyed the loving presence of the family the most. They went the extra mile everyday for our comfort and that is the real Sri lankan hospitality we experienced 🙏❤️ If you're looking for a place to stay, short term or long term, you have found your place with no regrets
