It has a great location . We were walking Offas Dyke - and it is only a few hundred meters of the trail - so ideal if you are in transit. Bedrooms were good size and clean.

Access to the top flat is through a hallway in the bottom flat. This hallway has bedrooms and a bathroom to the left and (we assume) kitchen etc to right. It was slightly off putting, as we walked through the hallway, one of the bottom floor guests was using the bathroom, and the door to the bedroom was fully open - so did feel as if we were imposing - as opposed to a completely independent access to the top flat. The bathroom is on the middle floor - and we were the first to use it this season - so there were a few plumbing issues which we have advised owner - but worth asking if hot water supply now fully functional

We loved the location - right in the middle of Hay on Wye, everywhere we wanted to visit was close by. We also loved the quirkiness of Half Moon House, and it had everything we needed; it was comfortable, cosy, and I would come back next time I am in Hay on Wye.

Arrived Friday 27th Dec evening for a long weekend. The boiler wasn't working (no hot water or heating) and is not located in the apartment, so was unable to investigate why. Tried to contact the emergency number left at the apartment but did not have a response until late Saturday evening, by which time we had already arranged alternative accommodation at The Swan hotel. Subsequently had correspondence with the owner who apologised and offered a refund which as of 13th Jan has not arrived. NO TV at the property, which may suit some people but we would have made alternative arrangements if we were made aware of this before we arrived.

It was very cosy for a winter visit, especially the log burner and the curtains to close off the front room. The location was very convenient for wandering around the town, as was the parking space right in front of the property.

Fantastic location, right in the centre and it was great to have a parking space right outside. The owner, Tam, was very helpful and quick to respond to queries.

Unique property. Loved the peace and quiet. Fantastic location - really central.
