The Rock Inn Hotel, Pub & Restaurant

Nice location although difficult to find due to poor road signage. Staff were lovely and helpful and food was good.

Not exactly disability friendly as no non slip mats in bath so I found it time consuming to get out of bath.

Lovely location

spent two nights here and would not stay again.The room was clean and the bed comfortable. No heating and it took forever for the tap water to heat. Decoration was tired. There was no central heating working and it was freezing cold at night. The hotel is in need of a major overhaul and updating. The fabric of the building is very tired. The service was ok but there were no visible staff during my two night stay apart from the gentleman who signed me in. There was no one in the lower building when I came down for breakfast the following morning and despite my calling out loudly several times no one appeared. I went back to Wiveliscombe to have breakfast there.

The location was lovely, the food was good

Our room was awful, no tv as stated, no Mountain View as stated, no walk in shower as stated, room was dirty with stains on mirrors, shaved hair droppings on sink, carpet was disgusting, curtains falling off the rails, and the basic - no hot water in the room. This is an extremely poor effort for a pub hotel. Concerns were raised to staff who did not care. Stated as pet friendly, it isn’t / said there’s issues with pets and shouldn’t have been allowed even though I confirmed we were bringing a dog via email which was replied with that was absolutely fine. Such a shame a lovely English pub is being completely ruined.

Set in a beautiful tranquil location. A lovely old building with charm and character. We received a friendly welcome on arrival, we had booked a small double room which was pleasant, clean and warm. We had dinner which was a fantastic menu selection of curries or English dishes. Food exceptional and a good range of local ales. Don’t be put off by previous reviews, this place is clearly very different now! We will definitely stay here again

No breakfast available.

Only 2 teabags and 2 bottles of water supplied in room - no coffee and even these weren’t replenished. The second morning we had no hot drinks at all. The staff weren’t about in the mornings either.
