Central Cottage, Hot Tub

Decent location although not much to do on the high street. Place has potential to be nice if was actually cleaned, had more professional hosts and basic maintenance was completed. There are LED lights with no power source just a hanging plug socket. All needs improving awful.

Not clean at all, totally disgusting we left early. Absolutely filled with spiders, flys Nats and cobwebs. Previous guests Rubbish has been swept under beds not cleaned full of dust. Cooking utensils eg pans havnt been cleaned and are covered in grease, old food and hairs. We didn’t feel safe here at all back gate dosnt lock no security flimsy doors that someone could easily break if they wanted to. Bathrooms dirty with mould, daddy long legs everywhere and we were led in bed listening to the flys around us. We left early only booked 2 nights and after 1 night couldn’t stand anymore. Totally un-livable we were itching. Hosts were awful and rude initially booked another apartment but They asked us to go to this one as was a ‘upgrade’ when we told them we were unhappy with how dirty the apartment was, we didn’t even get an apology and seemed like they’re used to complaints and didnt do anything. Also we requested a refund for the hot tub we paid £50 for as we couldn’t get in it due to the fact the water was vile full of bugs, yellow and muggy and had not been cleaned. Delightful hosts then blocked us without refunding - scam. The fact they charge a’ cleaning fee’ is another scam as has definitely not been cleaned in what looks like years, tidied at a push. They also advertise this apartment as ‘the hideaway’ where your find other guests awful reviews which I wish I had seen prior booking; seems the hosts advertise it as the coach house to avoid all the awful reviews for guests to read. The electrics outside are so dangerous open wires and no waterproof coverings. Sparking with rain, An accident waiting to happen. Again hosts didn’t care. Have never been treated so appalling by hosts and how they still have guests and run this place is beyond me. Total waste of money is nothing like the pictures house is so delicate and feels like it’s going to break with every step you make. wish we just stayed at home; and was so relived to be home. Never again Do not book.

This property takes a extra £50 deposit which isn't mentioned anywhere so be aware when booking also i think its just a scam to get an extra £50 off you as they didn't return it when i phoned instead they accused me of leaving cigarette butts around even tho i don't smoke they also want another £50 per night for the hot tub pls avoid this property

In a quiet street only 10 minutes walk to Stratford. The hot tub was lovely.

Cottage needs a lot of work. Every room needs attention. The beds were awful, mattresses so thin. Not very clean. The draw under cooker where saucepans were kept was really dirty. For the price the condition of cottage was poor. The parking permit was out of date , we were worried about having a parking ticket .

Location was great for a walk into the town, house was very warm ,lovely kitchen

The place needs a good clean there was dust in every room ,bathroom flooring needs replacing, the bath needed a good clean,second bedroom is awkward to get to tight low staircase no good if you are tall, it is up in the attic

We needed somewhere for myself and my two adult children (Male and female) for a planned visit. The location was great and near for the purpose of our visit. The house was old and very pretty. Parking came with a permit but on arriving later in the evening parking was a bit tight. The interior was very small but adequate for a short stay. The kitchen was very new and modern and had all conveniences required for a stay. Iron and ironing board were provided and all cutlery etc. Conservatory leading to a lovely garden where the hot tub was situated. TV worked well and we had access to Netflicks but there was nowhere decent to sit apart from one armchair as the sofa/sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom needed updating but the shower in the bath was easy to operate and the water was hot and towels were provided. Hosts were responsive to all enquiries and requests.

The stairs to the 2 upper floors were very steep and although I got up the first level it was very difficult. However, my son was the only one to get up to the top floor. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. I would also say not that safe for little ones either. The pull out sofa bed was intended for someone to sleep on and I have to say that it should not be considered as something to sleep on as it was not even remotely comfy to sit on to watch TV. My daughter and I had to share a bed which was not on the plan. The beds were not comfortable and very small in size. Although double, not good for 2 people. The rug on the floor in the sitting room was very grubby which let the look of the room down.
