The Cheese Room, self-contained cosy retreat in the Quantock Hills

Amazing place to stay, fantastic host, beautiful breakfast. My favourite place we've stayed, lots of lovely touches and great features (e.g. power shower, lovely ceiling beams). Great location for Hestercombe House & Gardens. Stu was super kind and helpful.

Wonderful in every respect. I truly cannot find a single fault with this property, and that is rare! It is a warm, very comfortable and cosy retreat in very peaceful surroundings, exactly as described, and the perfect setting for a winter escape. As other reviewers have said, everything is really well thought-out, including the delivery of fresh items for breakfast, and spotlessly clean, which makes the whole stay so relaxing. I plan to come again.

Proximity to Hestercombe Gardens initially but as soon as we arrived at the cheese rooms we realised we’d found a very special place to stay, everything was so well thought out making our stay perfect.

Amazing and generous breakfast.

Stu is an excellent, non-intrusive host, who thinks of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The apartment is spacious, well-equipped and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely large shower. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh items appear downstairs each morning. The location is very peaceful and guests have their own seating area outside. We have stayed 3 times now and always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.
