The Cheese Room, self-contained cosy retreat in the Quantock Hills

Maybe a way to define a stay at The Cheese Room is to think "Boutique Hotel" - a step above the idea of B&B! Everything was laid on for comfort. Upstairs from a welcoming entry hall, a large bedroom, tastefully furnished, well-equipped with many extras including fruit bowl, interesting multi-functional music player with even a turntable for a small selection of LPs, plenty of supplies in the food cupboard... And there is a large separate dressing room and spacious shower room. There were so much attention to detail. Stu is a superb host, remaining quietly present with daily breakfast, left downstairs for collection at our leisure. To have our own garden space was another bonus, and the location means no traffic, and peaceful nights.

The location was so peaceful and the room was exceptional. Perfect for us as it was close to our wedding venue. Stu was a very gracious host and very considerate! Loved the warm pastries in the morning xx

A lovely, cosy, spacious retreat in the quantock hills. The apartment was spotless, the garden was immaculate. We were very well looked after, the host even provided gluten free breakfast to meet my dietary needs

It was outstanding. Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Our hosts were brilliant too. Breakfast was so good. Will definitely return.

In itself good, but we would have preferred to get also some hearty stuff (eggs, cheese, ham)

Set in a lovely rural location. The decor was in keeping with a beautiful old farmhouse.
